“48 Willys Jeep runs good, smokes a little, needs gas and a battery. $700 OBO”
This appears to be a solid jeep that was restored with care. But, to label this ‘museum quality’ is, well, to put it gently — with great restraint — is inaccurate (for starters, too many non-original parts). Also, ‘Light Green’ is not one of three colors of a 1946 CJ-2A of that vintage (that is, post vin#38221); instead there were 6 color schemes (all listed at the CJ-2A Page’s history section).
“For sale is a restored 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. The Jeep’s body and visible parts were restored to show quality. All engine parts were kept spec. Jeep runs great and is stored in a garage all year long. The following is a list of stock parts and upgrades: Complete engine restoration, New windshield, New gauges, New Paint (1946 Light Green) one of 3 original colors, 4 New Non-Directional Tires, New gas tank, New brakes (Hand brake also works). Odometer was not working when the vehicle was bought. It is unknown how long the odometer was not working. Odometer has since been fixed. Approximately 50 miles or less on the restored motor.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** was $2500.
(12/15/2010) This looks in decent condition, but needs some work.
“1948 Jeep Willys CJ2a 4×4 ( great for a rock crawler project? ); 4 cyl ( looks like all original drivetrain ); Aluminum wheels & tires come with it. 4×4; Clean body for a 1948 have looked at a few in vegas this one is nice for the money. Needs work not a driver. Was told it ran a year ago cranks over but needs fuel line work and fuel tank cleaned out, Also ignition switch missing. Email for more pics. Clean Nevada Title.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** This was priced at $2600
It runs, but has some rough edges.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $600
(01/11/2011) Given the paddles are included, this might not be a bad price.

“I have a 1946 jeep Willys CJ2A. It is in grate condition. It has a ford high performance 302 with a double pump Edelbrock carburetor, and a high-rise manifold. The motor came out of a stock car so it isn’t shy on power. It has the original Dana 41 axles with the original four speed transmission. It has a black leather soft top on it. The soft top is in grate condition. It doesn’t leak or have any faded marks. It has a set of 33/12.50/r16.5 wild-country mud terrain tires that only have at most 1000 miles on them. It has two bucket seats in the front and one bench seat in the back. It has a 3 inch rancho suspension lift. It has a full role cage jest in case u wants to have a little fun and don’t want to get hurt. The four-wheel drive works grate I have never had a problem with it in any type of whether. I really don’t wand to sell it so I’m at $6000 firm. I really want to trade it for a big lifted 4×4 truck or a nice AWD car. I want to try to get something close to the value of the jeep but I will look at all offers. Call of text lance at 541-620-2714 and maybe we can make a deal. please call after 4 pm or leave a message and i will get back ahold of you. If you have any question just ask I will try to answerer them the best I can. If u would like to see a pic of it give me your e mail or cell number and i will be more than happy to sent you some”
