A big project yes, a “good project”? I don’t think so. If only character was valuable, this might just fetch $35k at a Barret auction.
“Not sure what year it is. Has a motor in it, but would need work. Good Project.

Looks like it could be solid, but hasn’t run in 3 years.
“Work jeep with soft top. 4 cylinder. Was running when last used about 3 years ago. Snow plow included. Garage kept. NADA average retail value of $10,165.”
UPDATE: Was priced at $900. **Status Unknown**
“im selling my project all running gear work and in good shape motor is half complete so will need to be replaced tiers are 31″ on 15″ rims and only have 3000 miles on them. i will be interested in trades just make an offer. ”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $35,750.
Bill spotted this … as he suggested, sit down …. the auction estimate was $12,000 – $17,000 which in itself is an inflated price in my opinion. However, this past weekend this franken jeep sold for $35,750.
“63 hp, 134.2 cu. in. flathead four-cylinder engine, Carter carburetor, three-speed manual gearbox with low-range, four-wheel drive with live axles front and rear with semi-elliptic leaf springs, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 80″
– From the Bill Jacobs Collection
– Only 578 miles since total nut-and-bolt restoration
– Original Forest Service Jeep with shovel and axe included
– 4WD with low range, trailer hitch, full gauge package
The 1946 Jeep offered here is beautifully finished in white. It was reportedly the property of the US Forest Service and carries the appropriate axe and shovel. It was the subject of an extremely detailed two-year restoration in 2001 by Jim Neirynck of Macomb Township, Michigan.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500
There’s some value here. Looks like a good cage and the body appears solid too.
“This is a 1948 CJ2A with a clear title. It is sitting on a DJ frame and has a center mount Dana 44 rear end. The floor boards are rusted but the toolbox and dash are good. The windshield frame, hood, fenders and grille are also good. Pretty nice rollcage. No drivetrain.”
At $200 there’s some value.
“1946 Jeep Willys flat fender, body, and 3/4 ton running gear. Project. 886-0710”
Mike asked me to post his 1946 CJ-2A for sale.
He writes, “It’s been rebuilt from the ground up, almost all original, and runs and climbs like a damn billy goat! The windshield is off a newer willys, the previous owner did this. I put in the new gauges.
The previous owner had a 1/2 inch solid square steel rod installed around the edge, he said he thought the steel was flimsy there, and when he took his grandkids wheelin’, when they were climbin in and out of the Willy’s he wanted it stronger and more rigid. Very nicefully done.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700
It runs.
“48 Willys Jeep runs good, smokes a little, needs gas and a battery. $700 OBO”
