(11/14/2010) Based on the grille, this seems more likely to be a mid to later CJ-2A rather than a 1946. The body appears in good shape.

“Up for auction is a 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. 1946 is the first year that civilian Jeeps where built. The Jeep is complete other that missing a windshield. Several pictures have been taken to show the condition. It has solid body and frame. The body does not have rust or Bondo (It has surface rust only).  It does have a new gas tank. I have never started the jeep but it will turn over by hand. The radiator and engine are full of antifreeze.  This jeep does have a clear title. “This is a “barn find” ’46 Willys jeep cj-2a complete and original condition. has rare snowplow with hydraulics (Scheneker iron works model “b”plow with Hy-Lo-Jeep monarch belt driven hydraulics). and very rare power take off(p.t.o.) transmission with lever in cab. also under dash heater( an option) and a pto attachment to run an 8 in. belt to drive a pump or farm machinery original in original box(even the box is well made). i bought another car from this guy and fell for this one too, but i have 4 classic convertables already and no room for this one.or time to drive it. also… i can’t get it to turn over! i’m soaking the cylinders now but no luck yet.
