This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has a fiberglass body and front clip that appears in good shape.
“1946 Cj2a willys jeep. Runs very good, motor has been freshly rebuilt. it has a fiberglass body, hood, and fenders, so no more rust…It will need seats.. Also has new exhaust.. frame is in great shape.”
It sounds like they just want to get rid of this. It appears complete.

(09/12/2009) “I am selling my 1948 CJ2A. It has a 3A stainless windshield, 1970 Buick 225 V6 oddfire engine, ford T18A tranny with 6.32:1 first gear. It has a twin sticked dana 18 t case, d 44 rear axle with a detroit, warn full float hubs and 30 spline chromo shafts. It has a d30 front, lockright, warn hubs and 27 spline shafts. It rolls on 36x1250x15 tsl sx with 50 miles on them. The jeep has a bikini top, windjammer, half and full soft doors. It has dual fuel tanks (30 gallon capacity), a warn winch, tire carrier and full size spare, rocklights, electric fan…and much more ….”

Now that is a bent bumper …
“1947 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2A 12 volt flathead 4 cylinder. Extra chassis with transmission and top. Needs restoring. Runs good and 4 wheel drive works.”
That bumper looks suspiciously DJ-3A to me.
“I have a mostly complete CJ2A for sale, it’s just more of a project than I have time for right now. It has no engine or seats. There is a windshield frame but no glass in it. Has trans, transfer case, axles, etc. Steering is intact, it rolls and steers fine but one tire will only hold air for a few minutes. I have a spare front and rear that will go with it. NO TITLE. You don’t see many Jeeps with a Datsun drive train.

This appears to be a late ’46/early ’47 CJ-2a.
“Willys jeep 4×4 for sale. Jeep is in the Sulphur Springs area. Extra parts include: engine head, fuel filters, coil, head light and more….”
Two sellers, who are also neighbors, each own a 1948 CJ-2A that they are selling. These are about 1/2 hour away from me. No images provided.
“My Jeep has the original 4 cylinder engine, the tub is not so good, but comes with an extra tub in good shape. No fuel tank. Will run, but needs work. $1000. Call 830-9597, if interested.
Also available is my next-door neighbor’s 48 Willys jeep. It is a V-6. All parts should be there, but it needs assembling. $1500 or offer. For more information on his jeep, call 250-5001.”
