About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I’m not sure what we have. It’s got a GPW Frame, a Willys Body, a CJ-2A windshield and gearing. This will need the clutch replaced.
“Looks great, runs fine, but needs a new clutch. Willys body, Ford frame, Good tires, breaks, etc. I bought this Jeep for $7K earlier in the year thinking it would be perfect for use on our ranch, but not realizing the Jeep is geared extremely low and realistically only gets up to about 30mph. The ranch is out behind Mount Hamilton and it would take us far too long to drive this little Jeep out there, so I kept it as a collectible “fun” vehicle. We were out joy riding (it’s a fun old ride) and the clutch gave out. Had to tow it back home, now it’s been sitting for a couple of months (we start her up once a month). Make me an offer, times are tough and we need the cash.”
(09/01/08) This has been for sale for a year plus.
“225 buick v6, 4wheel power disc, 5:38 gears, locked front/rear, spring over, 35″goodyear mtr’s, warn overdrive, power steering, tilt wheel, custom gas tank under rear, new sides, floors, wheel tubs. little to make it go again, ran great when i started the rebuild on body..3 years ago. garaged for last 10 years. just needs some finishing. new heat tech heater (28k btu). firm price, lots done and trail proven!! type “dutch” in subject like or i will mark as spam!
“I have lots of new parts. This jeep is in very good condition for a 1946. The title is clear and the registration is current. Needs engine finished and to be assembled ”
“47 Willys Jeep, L head 4 cyl. all there, not running, floor and seats gone Has Buick 6 that goes with it, probably only good for core. Really cool front bumper, steel 16.5 wheels, heater on floor of passenger side. Have soft top and doors, original under seat gas tank, extra jerry cans. No title, could spend a ton of money and have something super nice or just spend a little bit of money and have a really fun runner. Maybe a Rat-Jeep.”
“Great project jeep, needs a motor rebuild, seats and some other stuff. Parts are cheap and accessible on http://www.walcks4wd.com/ and other sites. Easy to work on, excellent MOAB or 4wd digging jeep. Here are some Pics. Serious inquiries only please. ”
(Last listed 05/31/2009) It looks like a solid jeep.
“I am listing this Willys for my brother. It has been in our family since 1994 and been modified with a Chevy 350 engine and TH350 automatic transmission. Our uncle did most of the work on it. I’ll do my best to describe it.
350 Chevy engine from a mid 70’s Blazer. Was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago and runs very well. Starts right up and has more than enough power.
Chrome headers exiting the sides
TH350 transmission professionally rebuilt about 1000 miles ago. Runs very well with crisp shifts.
Dana 18 transfer case.
Dana 44 rear axle and Dana 30 front with the larger drum brakes. They were rebuilt about 1000 miles ago. Our uncle bought these from a guy that was going to auto tech school and they were rebuilt under the supervision of his instructor. They are gears low. I listed a tire off the ground and spun the driveshaft. It took approximately 5-1/4 turns so they are either 5.13 or 5.38. It’s gear for offroading so if you want to do alot of highway travel you would probably want to put in a Warn overdrive.
Repainted a few years ago. It looks good but isn’t a perfect show quality paint job. The body is very solid and rust free. The fenders aren’t rotted at the inner supports.
Very good condition chrome wheels with 33″ tires with about 1000 miles on them.
Tilt steering column with Saginaw power steering conversion
Heavy duty custom battery mount.
New electric cooling fan with recored radiator.
Good condition soft top with doors. Was originally red but was repainted black with vinyl fabric paint.”
(06/08/2010) It has a few dents, but it looks pretty rust free.
“1000 miles on rebuilt 4 cylinder and 3 speed manual transmission, 4 WD-Warn hubs, Hi-Lo transfer case, 12 Volt system, Roll bar, Towbar, Bucket seats, No top, Good glass in windsheild, Grey in color, Mechanically sound”
