UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.

It runs and drives.  It is a combo jeep, but the price is good.

“Military Jeep for sale. Yes it runs! Working motor, running gear, transmission. I hate getting rid of it but we’re moving out-of-state and have to figure out how to move 3 vehicles already!
Has: 1942 Ford GPW frame, hood, windshield, grill, and other misc parts (all still have their F stamp visible); 1945 Military engine (running) with new fuel pump; 1946 Willy’s tub and transmission. The transmission is good but the tub is not in great shape.

Needs: seats; fuel tank (we just put the fuel line into a gas tank when we run it); drive shaft (it fell out when we flat towed it to our new place); tires (2 are flat though they’ll hold air long enough to tow it home or put it up on a trailer); We sanded all the old pealing yellow paint off of it and it is primer gray but we never got further than that.

This would make a great parts vehicle (we’ve been told the steering wheel alone is worth $300!) Or for those that are looking to buy a new fabricated tub and throw it on there and have a look-a-like military jeep to play around in (our plan). Or a great starter for a crazy Rock Crawler.
The parts mentioned above are the main F stamped parts so if you’re looking to restore it to a stock gpw it would need a lot. But like I said it’s great as a part donor or casual military jeep lover.

Please note we do not have a title for it, it will be bill of sale only. According to the dmv you just need to get a VIN verification done on it (simple as bringing it down to the CHP office) and DMV will then issue title and registration.  Asking $1200″”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.

This sports a fiberglass body, which appears in reasonable shape.  Given the cage and body, I’d say this is a reasonable price.  However, it appears the cage is probably mounted to the body rather than the frame.

“1949 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Has good frame, original 5:38 axles w/ upgraded brakes, heavy springs and I think rear diff locker. No drive train. Has original hood, front fenders and windshield. Tub is fiberglass. Has Bestop soft top frame and door frames (top rotted away). Good title. This is good for a Jeep build starter project, parts, or another Jeep with title problems. CJ2A Jeeps were made from 1945-1949. The flat fender body and frames (except for the CJ3B) are basically the same from 1940-about 1954 when they changed to CJ5.”

This has already been disassembled.

“I have a 1948 willys jeep with original title. its in rough shape but would make a great project. I have it in pieces right now but I have all the parts. I have 4 new rims and tires that go with it. motor runs 4×4 works just needs a lot of TLC. clean title alone is worth more than $500”

This is very cool, though the seller is a bit off on their history.  I’d like some better pics.

It is missing some parts.

“1946 Willys CJ-2A project for sale. It is in pieces and needs some time. I’m the 2nd owner and have had it for 10 years. It was orginally purchased in Belt MT. Missing transmission, tailgate and some various engine parts. I was going to put in a newer engine and never finished it. Has a metal half cab, 16″ rims and an extra set of 15 in rims/tires.”

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $4000

(06/29/2010) This was rebuilt in 1986, but then work stopped(?) when it came time to rebuild the engine (as best as I can figure out).  I can’t tell if it runs or not.

(06/29/2010) The serial number of 130476 suggests this is a 1947 rather than a 1946.

“This is a ONE OF A KIND Vehicle.  Its a 1946 CJ-2A Willy Jeep.  It is tagged In Delaware as an antique vehicle.  The body is handmade wood.  It is the perfect vehicle for the beach.  V-6 with extra transfer case and extra transmission.  Tow bar so it can be towed behind your RV.  In and out Locking Hubs.  Sucicde Doors .  Clear Title.  Also log book of all work done and dates from original owner.  Selling for a friend.  Seller has the right to refuse sale and end auction at any time sitting for sale out side of residence.  This is One of a Kind vehicle.”
