This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I suspect this does not have an overhead cam and it certainly is not all original for the year. Brett called on this and the seller mentioned the engine does smoke. The body appears solid.

It needs an engine and a few other parts, but otherwise looks solid.

“’46 Willy CJ2A, ’87 4.3 Ltr Chevy Engine, ’91 350 Turbo Transmission, ’72 CJ model 30 front end 27 spline, ’86 Jeep Cherokee steering column, Model 44 rear end off-set pumpkin with posi-traction, CJ 3A Windshield, Dana 18 transfer case, 4 wheel drive and locking hubs, 373 rear end gear ratio, 276 in over drive, Power steering, Power take off winch, 4 extra tires with rims, Soft top and sides, Bikini top, CB ready, 11″ Mercury power brakes”
There is certainly some work left with both Jeeps.
“This listing is for TWO different 1948 CJ2A Jeep Willys, but are being sold together. I’ve had these Jeeps for a while, and was thinking about using both Jeeps to restore into one. For a list of reasons I am not able to complete the project anymore, and have decided to sell them to someone who is. There are flaws to both Jeeps, but between the two they’re great for a restoration! One of the Jeeps has a rare aftermarket aluminum hard top and doors (picture included). I have new parts included with the Jeeps, and FOUR extra original rims!

“1947 Jeep Willys 4×4…. All Chevy running gear….Including a 4.3 V6 with aluminum intake, 700r4, power steering, tilt wheel, and power disc brakes…. All gauges, head lights, tail lights, and blinkers work great…. It has really nice seats in it…. It has really great floors in it…. This Willys was used for the back roads, so it is not registered….If you want to drive it on the highway (it does great on the road) it would need to be inspected by the DOL….its easier than you think….I will let it go for 3k with out the new 32×11.50×15 BFG muds (they still have the nipples on them) or 4k with them”
