The body appears in good shape. This might be a good price if you can install a gas line (which should cost $20 or less).
“48 Willys CJ2A. Has a new gas tank that just needs hose run to Carb. Then engine will run. I have a few new parts that go along with it. Call Richard for specifics. (443)928-8739. Clean title in hand. Asking $2000 obo.”
This runs and the plow works. The body sounds bad, but the deal sounds like a good one.
“1941 Jeep Willys 4×4 With Plow, Needs Carb Adjusted Or Kit Put On It. Rust and Voids On Body. Frame Solid. Most All Original. Pushes show well. Good 2 Track Runner.”

UPDATE: Jonathan points out that this sold for less than $1400 ($1356.13). Someone got a solid deal!
These Jeep-A-Trenches don’t appear every day. I love this beat up old jeep 🙂
“1948 willys jeep [but not really sure]. It is a nice early CJ with a period [first series] jeep a trench attachment. I also am including a period willys jeep option snow plow. It came off my 47 CJ. I planned on selling only the trencher but have a offer to buy another jeep with plow so I am selling the whole package. The jeep tub has rust and the roof is in rough shape also, it all can be put back together. The jeep run 3 yrs ago and I had it firing & running with gas down the carb but the starter stopped working. This is a rare piece and wouldnt take much to get it working again. It dug trenches for water, electric and a drain line over 150′ within the last 5yrs. It has good tires and a towbar for short towing. bill of sale only. no papers. Buyer to pickup or I have a local guy who can deliver it for a fee. Payment within days of end of auction. Email me with any questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3100.
It looks pretty stock.
“
This Flatfender Jeep originally came from California. It is driveable, but I consider it a work in progress/project jeep. I would not consider this vehicle a daily driver. I do have the California title. I bought it from the Tech Editor for JP Magazine. We are moving in two weeks.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.

UPDATE: Was $7000. **SOLD**
(04/29/2010) Here’s a beautiful CJ-2A. The seller would prefer to sell it locally.
“Mostly restored but some work still needed on steering (I have parts) and the brakes need some attention. I bought this a couple of years ago with the intent of completing restoration. I immediately developed some serious health issues, which is the reason for the sale. Would like to get somewhere around the $8500 I paid for it. I’m open to reasonable offers. This jeep runs like a new one and is drivable as it is. Included is a half top with doors from Beachwood Canvas. Everything works (yes, even the lights and gauges!) Too much to write about, if interested get in contact via email and I will give you my phone number. Please write “red jeep” in the subject box to hopefully avoid spam/scam. Local sale only.”
