Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks like a fun jeep.
“1947 CJ-2A Willys Jeep. Has CJ-5 V6 (Buick) conversion. 5:38 axels, t-90 trans, s-18 transfer case. 12v. Body has been repaired over the years, not perfect. tires will need replaced. Full roll cage tied to frame. Windshield modified for one piece glass. Has extra leaves in springs and spring perch blocks. Frame is nice no rot. Will need work to pass inspection. New master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new brake lines hard and soft. Original tank is good shape, needs hooked up. Lights need wired up. Runs drives stops. Good trail jeep as is. Clear Maryland title.”
Where else can you get a jeep for $450? Clearly this seller hasn’t been to ewillys!

(02/22/2010) This looks like a good restoration candidate; it appears mostly unmolested. I’d like to see more pics of this.
“1948 Willys jeep, All original, Custom made top, Some rust in places, overall not to bad. Brand new battery. Runs and drives just fine. $ 2,800. OBO.”
Unclear if this runs or not. I think calling this beautiful is a bit overstated ….

The body looks to be in great shape based on the one tiny pic.
“1948 red willy’s jeep. L-Head flathead 4, T90 3-speed tranny, Model 18 transfer case. Cracked steering wheel, original. Top speed roughly 45!!! Down a hill, might do 48.. Typical cruise speed 25.. Clean and original but not good for daily commuter unless you’re going to the grocer.”
