This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 cj2a willys, Very Original, Comes with everything. but complete wireing. Bolts broke but i have a book that lists all the types of bolts and what size they are. I Had A mehcanic look at it he said if i had more wiring on the motor it would fire up. Drove few years back. sat under cover sence i bought it.

I have a stock 1947 Willys CJ-2A, the body work is 95% complete and the frame has been blasted, primed and powder coated black along with the wheels. The engine is in good condition and just needs rebuilt since it has sat for along time. Th engine is #’s matching down to the generator and voltage regulator.”

(06/01/09) The seller says this is a ’46, but the body looks more like a MB/GPW body. There’s no gas inlet and no bow holders.

(06/23/09) The suspension has been highly modified.
“1949 willlys jeep with all toyota running gear; 20r eng, transmission, transfer case and rear ends. Great project to finish up and get out on the trail. Needs a few things finished up but I have all the parts needed. I also have two toyota parts rigs that can go with it for free. It has a soft top but not in great shape and it also has a new bikini top and new tires.”

The drain holes have been plugged, which I suspect means there’s been some work done on the passenger and driver’s side areas of the body.
