Gary has become a regular reader.  His green CJ-5 is undergoing a makeover, with a body purchased off craigslist coupled with a rebuilt motor (134 F is in the machine shop), including a new engine kit and re-ground crank.  You can see his starting jeep in the pic below. Gary is also working on a spare tire carrier for the back of his CJ-5 which he plans to share when it is finished.  Thank for sharing!

Gary also provided pics of his friend Lawrence’s jeeps.

The first of Lawrence’s jeeps is a CJ-2A which he cut and converted to a two wheel drive truck. Lawrence is pictured here.

The next is a cj3B with a 2.8 chevrolet engine and a T14 transmission. (He calls it a John Deere Jeep).

“I have a 1948 CJ2A Willys Jeep for sale. It is all original with flat 4cyl, 3 speed, Dana 18 transf. case, side mounted spare, non directional tires. It has been converted to 12 volt. It has always been shedded. It RUNS and DRIVES even though it has set for a couple years without running much. I started and ran it 30 days ago. The body is in great condition for its age very very little rust. Windshield frame and glass in great condtion, tailgate great condtion. Lights work ect. I can deliver to denver area if buyer pays for shipping. Cash Only. NO SCAMMERS. I will trade for a modified trail jeep with 33″-35″ rubber. Preferably Flattie,or CJ in good condition. The seller says the entire body is painted with bed liner.  I’m assuming that means the outside too?  I’m hoping my assumption is wrong, as the body looks straight and clear of rust.

“1948 jeep willys CJ2A, frame off resto, frame painted, new paint on body, new master cylinder, new brake hoses flex, recent oil change, recent coolant change, new mini high torque starter $390.00, new 12v alternator $185.00, flat head L head engine runs, tranny and tcase have been rebuilt. has back seat the one with storage box underneath. brand new tires, mostly original except alternator and starter upgrade. tow bar,
Body is completely bedliner coated then painted with Cardinal Red pearl coat.
Needs ; front seats, gas tank, some wiring, will run and start., needs wheel cylinders, shoe linings. have new windshield wiper motors in box, original parts in box such as speedo. I am sure I am forgetting things, Is a bit dusty from sitting in garage. Have CLEAR TITLE, Moving and can not take it with me. I have alot more invested, it will make someone a great jeep.”

(10/23/09) Somethings funky with the back of the hood.

“1946 Willys CJ2A Runs Great, Engine and transmition has less than 200 miles since complete rebuild. Jeep was stripped down to the frame and rebuilt. Will sell with new 33″ Goodyear Wrangler M/T tires on new steel spoke rims for $3000 or will sell with original jeep wheels and tires for $2000″
