Has good seats front and rear, roll cage,12 volt sys, front mounted steering box,2 gas tanks,5 new tires on white spokes, tow bar,GM tilt steering. This Jeep was from AZ, so there’s very little rust and no dents. I just installed a recently rebuilt L head engine and this truck runs great.”
This might be a good price. The body appears in good condition.

It’s hard to believe it runs. It’s a parts jeep.
“This is a 1948 WILLYS Jeep that runs, she smokes but she runs, good for parts as she shifts and I have the original Michigan title that matches the plate on the firewall…body is bad and jeep is for sale for parts only, needs to be trailered as tires are also poor… 920-856-6539 or neuby47@hotmail.com”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2800.
A reader named Terry alerted me to this sale.
“1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep Serial Number 56566
I am selling this Jeep because I am ill with a progressing brain disease and there is more work to be done on this Jeep than I expected. Transmission is inoperable, locked in neutral, and needs replacement or rebuilding. Steering gear needs work. Engine is perfection, runs like a dream. I originally purchased it with the idea that it would take the place of my Ural, so I could continue going out sight-seeing and exploring. … The Jeep’s original flathead, four-cylinder engine (engine #103462) has less than 300 miles on it since being completely rebuilt.”
This might be a pretty good price for only $1000 given the work that has been done.
“1946 Willys Jeep has rebuilt motor, transmission and transfer case. Needs generator, starter and brakes. Asking $1,000 obo. Any questions call Gene at 586-774-5168. Thanks for looking!”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $24,950.
It looks nice enough, but I just don’t think the seller makes a strong argument for the rather high asking price.
“1946 Jeep CJ2A that has had a complete body-off restoration. Many items have been chromed and a new set of chrome wheels and tires. The engine is original and has been completely gone through. The Jeep hasn’t gone more that 50 miles since being restored. Custom seats have been added and many other accessories.”
The seller is in the rockies somewhere ….
