Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks like it has a nice, vintage top. The rest of the jeep looks in good shape, too.
“1946 Jeep Willys. Small block V8. New muffler, alternator, wiring, lift – all professionally done.
Newer tires. Ultimate hunting vehicle.”
I doubt it will fetch the ‘buy it now price’ of $5400. And, it has plenty of rust and dents that will require some work to remove, however there’s a lot to like about it. Lots of pics on eBay.
“The current owner has owned this jeep for 25 years and it has 61,504 original miles. Fifteen years ago, the owner and his late wife took a road trip from Urbana, Illinois down to Cairo, Illinois and back up through Kentucky and Ohio. It ran perfectly the whole way. When the jeep was purchased in 1984 the title was in both the owner and his wife’s name and was re-issued in 1998 in his name only after his wife passed away…”

This looks like a fun little CJ-2A. I wonder if the bars attached to the windshield from the roll bar are intented to support the windshield? It’s a good strategy to help reduce stress on the windshield.
“Bright yellow.12 volt conversion with new 1 wire alternator.rebuilt starter, all light including turn work great. Has stoway towbar that folds flat on front bumper.(NO TOP) new master and brake cylinders. Tires are larger radial on white spoke wheels(NO SPARE) New e-brake cable yet to be installed along with 4 leaf after market springs.”

This looks to be a good foundation for a great little trail jeep. Though this is a non-running project at this point, it does have a number of quality upgrades.
“46 willys,1962 buick 198 v-6 rebuild 1 hour run time,sm 420 trans,5:38 gears,dana 30 disk brake,dana 44.lots of new parts,16 gallon fuel cell,frame boxed,power steering and power brakes.rear brakes are 11 inch.needs a few things to drive this rig.”

“My computerless neighbor would like to sell his 1952 CJ3A WILLYS JEEP. The engine was rebuilt,new gas lines,brake lines,seat covers,body panels,floor pan,and more.The Jeep runs and drives nice and was shown last year at the Autumn Roundup in Ludlow”

This sure sounds like a good deal. It has a bobcat hood.
“I am selling my cj3a to make room for my other projects. It has a 4 bolt 350 chevy with an sm420 truck 4 speed, dana 20 t-case, dana 44 rear end and stock front. Brand new 33.12.50 BFG mud terrains. Completely rewired with painless harness. Needs brake work and the rebuilt 4 speed still has trouble shifting into 2nd. Does run and drive (I drive it to work on Friday’s and weekends). $2,500.00 or will sell for $1800.00 firm with different wheels and tires. Call for more info.”
