Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This doesn’t seem like a bad price for $1500.
“1946 Willys CJ2. Rebuilt original engine, radiator, starter, 12 volt alternator. New master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shocks, springs, tires, chrome rims, exhaust system, turn signals, rear view mirror, gas tank, windshield wiper and motor, steering wheel and more. Actual mileage unknown. Less than 100 miles on rebuild. Over $2000.00 invested.”

” This is an incredible find! 1948 Jeep Willy “hard-shell” ambulance. Includes siren and light. This is the perfect restoration project for the Willy/Jeep collector or the person who must have that incredibly “head-turning” must-have collector vehicle.”
This might be a very good deal.
“This is an unrestored, unmolested original Willys Jeep. It has the original 4-cylinder engine and 6 volt running gear. I bought this Jeep last year, not running, and I put a starter, battery, new cables and a new ignition switch in it. Now it starts and runs and I’m able to drive it up and down the street. I’d love to keep it and make a nice mountain goat out of it, but I just have too many projects and can’t devote the time to it. My loss is your gain! It comes with a gas can with mounting bracket, a tow bar for 1 7/8 ball, trailer hitch and four spare wheels (I was told they are the original wheels). The NM title is clear and in my name.”

This has an unusual top.

This is a beautiful build, but the price will scare a lot of buyers away. A tilt front flattie is certainly rare enough to warrant posting.
“1947 CJ2A Willys: Engine – 302 V8, New Edelbrock Carb, Edelbrock intake manifold, New Starter, water pump, one wire Alt, motor mounts, remote oil filter, All new gaskets, oil pan valve cover, front, rear main seals, new flex fan, 3 core radiator, rad hose’s. Transmission – NP435 Four speed with deep granny 6:98 tol, new bearings, seals, sincros and mainshaft, rebuilt with Advance Adapters kit to marry to Dana 18, also rebuilt with new seals, bearings and gaskets. Front & Rear ends – Model 23 front-41 rear, rebuilt with new seals, bearings, gaskets 4 wheel full size disc brakes, new rotors, calipers, pads, hardware, front axle equipped with ATV manual hubs.”

The builder put a good collection of parts together for this flattie.
“1966 custom Willys jeep, with 1946 body./body off restored / 350 chevy v8 motor with avenger holly carb/ munci 465 trans/ dana300 transfer case/ dana 44 rear end/ dana 30 with disc brakes front end/ 33″ like new thornbird tires/ power steering/ only thing it needs is for the brakes to be pressure bled. $5600 call Mike at 440-225-2421”

“I bought this about 15 years ago and it has been a blast. I have a large farm and we used it to cruise around here and taught my kids how to drive on it. It runs excellant and has the original Hurricane 4 cyl. Red Devil engine with a 3 spd. Trans. The tires are great, but as you can see they are not original equip. Recently installed entire brake system. We would use this to ride around at hunting season and the occassional trip down to the local watering hole. It has been great to us and has always started and never left us stranded. It truly is a great piece of history that would make an excellant canidate for restoration or use as is. We have had our fun with it but just don’t use it much anymore so it is time for it to go to a new owner.”
