Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Hello, I buy,sell,repair,and restore willys jeeps. Flat fenders are my favorite which I have owned one for over 35 years. This is a great jeep for parades, car shows and just criusing around. A previous owner has done a nice job restoring it. It has a lot of unique EXTRAS with it. … This is a nice jeep and is a very unique head turner. Rubber is very good too.
This jeep is ‘almost’ completely restored. For example, there’s no emergency brake.

Ryan found this gem. You know, there’s more jeep here than I’ve seen in some jeeps for sale. I guarantee something is salvageable, or your money back.
“Free 1947 Willys CJ2A. This is free because it has almost no usable parts.No engine or tranny.Body and frame are rotted. It’s basically just scrape metal. It does have the original matching front and rear axle. Most everything else has been removed or is rusted away. Front tires and wheels are not included. You will need a trailer or flatbed to take it away.

This jeep has a variety of upgrades, though it’s having some difficulty with 2nd gear.
“I am selling my cj3a to make room for my other projects. It has a 4 bolt 350 chevy with an sm420 truck 4 speed, dana 20 t-case, dana 44 rear end and stock front. Brand new 33.12.50 BFG mud terrains. Completely rewired with painless harness. Needs brake work and the rebuilt 4 speed still has trouble shifting into 2nd. Does run and drive (I drive it to work on Friday’s and weekends). This jeep has undergone a number of changes. The seller has added detailed artwork to the hood, while underneath is a nice looking V8.
“You are bidding on a 1948 Willys jeep, that I have owned for 25 years, After sitting for a number of years in Nov. of 2007 I redid this vehicle, the following is a listing of what was done. New brakes and lines and master cylnder, wheel cylnders and parts associatted. New fuel tank, lines, fuel pump and 2 bbl. rebuilt carb. Rebuilt 350 turbo trans, new driveshaft, u-joints, trans mount, new torque converter and flex plate. 305 Cu. In. 175 HP small block with under 35000 miles. new radiator, hoses, belts, water pump (corvette), trans-cooler and lines. new ss flex fan, all new wiring, switches, bulbs, seats and interior redone, mostly new gauges, headers with 2-1/2″ exhaust to the rear….”

“Chevy 350, 4 bbl carb., powersteering, 12 volt alternator, spring over lift, 35×12.50×15 tires, 8 inch rims, orginal axle and transfor case, has orginal tran.with v8 bell housing, but trans. is bad. I have T350 to go with the jeep. Also, this is a millatary body. Also, have spare axles and frame.”

“Beautiful 1946 willys jeep cj 2A. New old/new stock all steel body. Original hood, grill, windshields, and tool box. New interior. Run well with no smoke. Not a spec of rust any where. New brakes/ lines, tires, rebuilt carb. This jeep is driven about 100 miles every sunny weekend with no problems. Needs very little to be perfect. More pictures available upon request. 860 227 3854 ”
Jim’s giving us an early look at the VEC CJ-2A he pulled out of Crawford, Colorado. He’s planning on listing this on eBay very soon (unless he gets a good offer before then). He’d really like it to go to someone who will give it a good restore.
He writes: “I pulled this CJ-2A out of Crawford Colorado. It has an early serial number, three on the tree, tool indents, 3 piece agri dash plate, early wire steering wheel, 6 volt, very little rust, runs great, motor is super quiet. The serial number is 17614.”
