An eWillys reader somehow found this in the ‘other makes’ section of ebay Motors.  It made me laugh, so I have posted this for your Sunday amusement.  Even though the starting bid is only $99, there are no bids.

“… The complete, unaltered 4WD drivetrain from that 1947 Willys Jeep: engine, tranny, transfer case, front & rear drive, suspension, steering, cooling system, etc. was installed on a homemade (C channel) frame. Most of the body, tilt bed & plow were also homemade. I must say, while “strange”, (owner is a carpenter), everthing is “well built”….. “

“1947 Willys Jeep in good condition. Recent engine overhaul, four wheel high and low, heater, new rear seat, runs and drives great. This is great at the hunting lease, ranch, farm or trip to the mountains. Good in snow and mud and lots of fun for the family. Hard to find in this original condition. Soft top is in great shape and recently replaced the boots covering the shifters. Asking $3500 or make me an offer.”

“Real nice CJ2A with a Super Sonic 6cyl engine. This Jeep has new brake system, new radiator, rebuilt starter, heater and wipers work. It also has a recent tune-up and great top. It does need tires and seat cushions. I’d keep it, but I’m too large to get in and out of it comfortably. Will trade for Jeep Cherokee of equal value. Who needs a bored out monster engine to climb rocks?  I’m always amazed at these modified jeeps that still run L-head engines.  This CJ-2A looks to be wearing an MB/GPW body.

“Runs excellent, very mechanically sound. Features: Original L head four cylinder, power steering, 12 volt system with new alternator, brand new electronic ignition, new water pump, new wheel cylinders, 8000lb warn winch, both axles fully locked, lock right locker in front axle, detroit locker in rear axle, front axle completely rebuilt, highlift jack and more!! UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $4900.

This jeep looks very straight and nicely accented.  It has some interesting headlight bezels.  It also apepars to have an overdrive setup.

“1949 Jeep Willys CJ2A in excellent condition. Beautiful charcoal grey exterior with purple accent stripe. 6 cylinder engine runs good and transmission shifts good too. 4 wheel drive works like it should. New tires and wheels. A very respectable Willys. Must see to appreciate. We have never driven it in rain or snow. Usually sits inside our barn and has antique insurance on it. Could take to shows if you wanted to.”

1946_cj2a_sandiego3This ad made me laugh, because the seller claims this “body has not rust”.  Now, the hat channels may in fact be in great condition and maybe it’s just my eyes, but isn’t there rust on this body?
