“80% original 1948 CJ2A Farm Jeep. Built for trail riding. Low mileage, good running Buick v-6 231 adapted to stock tranny trans-case. Axles have 5:38 gears and the front end has been updated with 11″ brakes. Rear end is lincoln locked. Full roll cage w/pads for safety. Body is in very good condition for the year, but has a little rust. Dual exhaust, newer covered seats, no rear seat. Has PTO output on tranny with shifter. Working heater(rare). 33″ mud tires. Jeep runs and drives good. I have it registered for the street as an antique til 2013. Needs brake lights wired and brakes bled, but stops fine. Jeep is exempt from inspection because it is registered as antique. I have to many Jeeps, not enough time! … I’ll post pic tomorrow. Thanks,”

1947 CJ-2A Burbank, CA **SOLD**
There’s a variety of nice updates to this CJ-2A. The hole in the hood would not be one of them. I bet the seller would throw in the ‘rock’ brake (note driver’s side tire) as a freebie.

1948 CJ-2A Littleton, MA **SOLD**
The more I read the list of specs on this jeep, the more I liked it. The drive train is a great combo for both on road and off road. I think the addition of an overdrive would really complete this nice package.
“This is a 1948 Willys CJ2A with a Meyer power angle plow setup. I put the plow on 3 years ago and it was only used on my driveway. This jeep has seen its share of off-road use so it isn’t a show vehicle. It is a very strong working Jeep that is a blast to drive on and off road. Body is a replacement steel tub, hood, fenders, grill, windshield frame and tailgate are original. 225 cu.in. Dauntless V6 from a 1970 Jeep. HEI electronic ignition.
SM420 transmission, 4 speed with 7.05:1 granny low first gear. Dana 18 transfer case with the large 1.25″ intermediate shaft. Dana 44 rear axle with Lockright locker and 4.27 gears. Dana 27 closed knuckle front axle with 4:27 gears.”
1945/1971 CJ-2A Yorba Linda, Ca $2900
I’m not sure what all is combined to make this flattie. The good news is that the body appears to be in excellent condition. Lots of large pics on the Ad allow for close inspection. The seller notes that this a currently a 2wd vehicle, though in one image it looks like there is a front pumpking visible.

“I bought this with intentions of restoration but it isn’t going to happen. I replaced all the brake lines, hoses, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. It runs decent, will need an exhaust manifold. I’ve got the doors for the hardtop with good glass. Certainly not road worthy but a good candidate for restoration.”

1946 CJ-2A Watsonville, Ca **SOLD**
It’s definitely got a variety of good modifications. It looks well equipped for the trails.

“1946 CJ2A Jeep with Arctic Top. Engine runs good, rebuilt starter and Carburetor. New tires. This jeep needs some body work (after all, it’s 62 years old.) The frame rails are solid, only surface rust that I’ve seen. I’m sure I’ve done some other things to it. If I think of them I’ll edit the posting. And yes, the carburetor has been covered at all times. I just took off the cover for the pic. I’ll sell the Jeep without the Arctic Top for $1600.00. Prices are firm. These Jeeps are getting more valuable daily. I just don’t have the time for it any more”
