About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Late 40’s Willys Jeep Bought from an estate sale with plans of restoring. Looking for Offers or trades. It seems to be complete Has typical rust expected from a jeep that year. Body seems solid Motor isnt locked up but havent messed with it. Located in mabelvale”
“1946 Jeep Willy. Motor has a crack and water in it. The body is rusted. There are still good parts to this. I have no idea what the frame looks like. Make a offer”
“1947 Willys CJ2A jeep, 1972 running gear, T18-4 speed transmission, Power steering, PTO winch, New battery, New gas tank, New soft top (been in storage for years), 0 miles on rebuilt odd fire.”
(02/02/2021) Looks in good shape, though I’d like to see under the body given the diamond plate on the floors. It’s missing the PTO bar as well.
“1947 CJ2A Jeep for sale. It is the civilian model with the original L-head 4 cylinder type engine and 4 wheel drive 3 speed transmission. It has had a fairly recent restoration to include a motor overhaul, and it runs, drives, and shifts well. The tires are excellent, the interior seats are recovered, and the top is almost new ($950). Also the electrical system is 12 volt and has an alternator. Currently titled in Texas in my name as an antique vehicle, and ready for you to go play! Would be a perfect vehicle to own in a coastal setting or ranch. Located in Conroe Tx and available to view most days.”
EXTERIOR:
-Rare folding split windshield.
-Powder coated factory steel wheels and full size spare.
-Custom center console and storage boxes.
-Jerry can and rear mounted flare box.
“I have two 1946 Jeep CJ2As for sale. The one with the hard top has a tub that’s still in one piece. You might be able to fix this tub too. The fenders on that one are fairly nice. The other one’s tub is shot. Both Jeeps still have their original motors/transmissions, etc. (L134, T90, Dana 18) The drivelines are both complete. I did not check if the motors turned over. Frames are both in good shape. Perfect for parts for a build or to put these two together to make a CJ2A”
“Collectible piece won’t go any lower then $2500
Everything picured included ,
Original inline 4 cyl. Flathead
Original manual transmission
As is,and will be sold with bill of sale only”
Either the bumper has been replaced or the frame has.
“1946 Jeep Willys · Other_body_style · Driven 43,000 miles Willys project. Comes with $500 in new parts, misc parts and a tow bar. Message me if you are interested and I can tell you more about it.”
“Flexible on price and open to trades looking for an old pickup or side by side. Here is my 1946 cj2a. I bought it about a year ago and it had a 170 Ford inline 6 with a t90 trans and Dana 18 tcase. It ran fine everything worked but I wanted more power and decided to try and swap a small block Chevy into it. I replaced both frame horns (18” piece of frame) and plated the frame with 1/4” steel back to the firewall. Welded in motor mounts from advanced adapters. The motor and t90 trans are bolted together but don’t have clutch in. What I think it needs to be finished is a flywheel and clutch kit, axles, and a few small things. Call me for lore info too much to list lots of extra parts.”
(12/23/2020) This SN 44064 has a solid looking body. There might be a sign on the driver’s side (can’t tell for sure).
“1946 Willys in excellent condition. All original minus wheels and seats. Front disc brakes are installed. All new electrical. Great for driving around town. New odometer has been put in. Original is available.”
