Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 47 willys jeep. Runs excellent. Recently put a new water pump on. Jeep has all new floors. The frame is excellent and has been coated. It’s a great vehicle and I hate to sell, but I start a new job in a few weeks. The seats are excellent as well, 4wd works”
Looks like this is a column shift 2A (probably 3XXXX serial number).

“1946 Willys 2a(Price dropped to $1600, the motor, trans and case are now sold) $1600. This has a Michigan title, in my name. The first pic is as got it and now disassembled. Its a project that I was going to build on, that said I have “to many projects” now so this one well be let go. The body is all there: tub, tail gate, front clip which includes front fenders, grille and hood and windshield frame. The frame and rolling chassis. The tub is very fixable. What looks solid is solid and whats looks rusty is. Replacement parts are available for these tubs from various venders and even made here in the USA. I do have seat frames, good shape. No radiator. Vin tages are the original ones, on the tub and frame and never been tampered with. Available till add deleted.”

“1946 cj2a jeep willys tires like new .rhino lined exterior and interior..runs and drives 4 cyl. flathead engine manual trans .shift on column .very rare only made for first 6 months of production .new brake lines master..shocks exhaust alternator.all rewired.turn signals and lights..new water pump .head gasket. Radiator.basically went thru.whole thing 2 years ago .runs good but need s valve seals .smokes.and has a little drivetrain noise been like that ever since I’ve owned it.has military canvas top and doors”

(11/12/2020) This jeep has undergone some modifications. The body has been cut in places and patched in others. Perhaps the most unusual aspect of this jeep is the hood (aftermarket?), which is mounted at an angle with the back up high, presumably to fit the Chevy 350.

I am selling a very nice 1946 Jeep Willys-Overland CJ-2A, twin stick 4×4, manual, 3 speed. It has had a frame-off restoration. No rust on the cab. VERY STURDY, no rusted through portions. Nice, thick paint. The paint is pretty good overall, but has scratches and imperfections. The has been swapped for a Chevy 350 with true dual exhaust with cherry bombs (Sounds good, not obnoxiously loud). It starts easily, runs great, has tons of power, and drives well both offroad and street. The transmission was pulled from a CJ-2A 6 cylinder, and the remaining drive train and axles are all original to the vehicle. The passenger seat flips up. The windshield folds down. The lights work.
