About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Listing for my dad. I can take texts as try to answer questions. Jeep is located in Lehi:
1947 Willyz CJ2A Flat fender, amazing Jeep that has been completely restored, engine has been recently rebuilt, transmission, transfer case rebuilt. I have gone through the axles and brakes and replaced anything that needed replaced. When bought I rhino lined the whole tub and painted the exterior with a textured paint. There is a top that’s on the Jeep in the pictures and then another that has doors and encloses the entire Jeep. It has a heater that makes it nice and toast inside during the winter and on the deer hunt. Any other questions that arise please don’t hesitate to ask. Not going to give this away considering I have way more money into it then I’m asking. Price is OBO but please no nonsense.”
“1947 Willy’s Jeep. I have owned this Jeep for numerous years and have too many projects to complete. The jeep has original equipment and it currently does not run. I have a second engine that works well with a transmission and transfer case that goes with the jeep. There is a new fuel system installed, as well as a new gas tank with a professionally rebuilt carburetor. I have receipts for many of the parts. It is currently licensed and titled. Mileage unknown”
This is listed as a 1942 CJ2b; a rare model indeed. Humor (or lack thereof) aside, could be a solid jeep, though the peeling paint on the hood may have some filler in it (I can’t quite tell).
1948
Serial #CJ2A 193723
CJ2A Body 184343
Willys Overland Motors Inc
Toledo, Ohio US
The motor is still in the vehicle.
It was parked in a car yard below our residence, under pine trees, years and years ago. I guess out of sight out of mind is true-to-form in this case.
Please call and I’ll text photos to your phone.
I’ll keep searching for the title. Mom is 101 and she tells me she still has it. Its just up to me to find it at her home. ***Sorry, I am unable to find a title at this time.***)”
“1948 CJ2A, Body off restore, transmission rebuild, alium. radiator, stainless flex fan, rear diff. locker, all new tires, military rear bumpers, all new wiring, overdrive, electric windshield wiper motors, rebuilt carb., new gas tank.”
