About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“6 willys to choose from. Let’s try this again…..

2. Other fc150 not complete should be enough here to put it together but cab is rough no paper $1500

4. M38 with top and plow $750 has paper motor seized:
“This 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A presents well with a rebuild/restoration performed by a previous owner. Body work, paint and interior have been refurbished, and it has been converted to 12V electrics. This CJ2A has it’s original “Go Devil” flat head 4 cylinder motor and a like new Bestops soft top. The three speed manual transmission shifts well and all gauges and electrics work as they should. Many spares come with the vehicle, including new brake drums, brake shoes, gauges, a new carb, and many other parts.”
“This 1947 Willy’s CJ-2A was acquired in 2017 from a family that had reportedly used it for decades at a cabin near Fort Collins, Colorado. This jeep still has its original 1947 Colorado license plate as well as a current AZ plate and title.
Finished in gray, the Jeep is powered by the infamous 134ci “Go Devil” inline-four teamed with a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The engine runs smoothly and starts effortlessly. 4 Wheel drive works easily and hubs lock smoothly.
This Willy’s could be used as a trail runner for hunters/shooters or even something just to cruise to the local store or car show on the weekends. It could easily be converted into a rock-crawlers dream. The decision is up to the buyer… Continue reading →
“1949 Jeep Willys cj2a Jeep tub plus accessories, including gill, hood, soft top and doors, fenders, tires, gas tank, windshield (no glass). Everything but the engine. Great starter project! Must take all. $500 OBO”
“Up for sale or trade I have my 1946 cj2a Willy’s Jeep. It has a newer clutch, a small rancho lift , 33×12.50 mud tires not in the best shape. Newer seats , aftermarket gauges and a relatively new rebuild motor before I owned it. Fiberglass hood and front fenders, gas tank relocated behind driver and passenger seat.
Onto the bad …
I was in an accident last summer in which it was declared totaled and I bought it back. I haven’t received a letter stating it has been totaled so I have not been able to get the new salvage title. There was very little damage actually to the Jeep at all, it simply popped the transmission out of gear at the high low neutral stick and so it was determined the transmission was toast which is why it was totaled. Later on while trying to get it working I realized the shift fork was straight up and down but the shifter appeared in high, long story short and a couple wrench turns later and it was like nothing had happened. I’ve driven it 100 miles or more since the repair and nothing has malfunctioned.
It needs wheel studs and lug nuts replaced that broke off.
The seats need to be adjusted because it requires a very short person or someone flexible because the pedals are so close and they are all mechanical. It wears your legs out pretty fast.
I’m looking for either 3,000 or a reliable vehicle for going in the woods, I’ll considered most ideas if the vehicle is in good shape with lower miles. Text or call during regular day hours”
This was for sale back in 2018, but, based on the rear license plate, appears to have sold. Curiously, these new pics show a Florida plate on the back and a Vermont plate on the front.
“For sale 1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Does not run. Would not take much to get it running. Needs tires, been sitting in Gurage for about 10 years. Have a second CJ2A for parts that comes with it. Can send more pictures if needed.”
“his is a 1948 cj2a that runs, drives, and stops. The tub was totally destroyed with rust; the previous owner cut all of the rusted material out and replaced it with heavy gauge steel. The entire floor was replaced, the fender wells were replaced, the toolbox lid was welded shut, and both sides are hand made with heavy steel. It has an m38 windshield on it, new fenders, new shocks, new springs, New gas tank, been sitting outside so looks rough, Have original front seats, four original rims(one non-original rim), tires not so good. willys hood and grill.
The brakes were gone through when the sheet metal work was done. The right front frame has been bent up and needs straightened. It has a later willys l134 engine, might be out of a dj3a. Lights work. Engine starts right up but does smoke. I don’t know if the rings are stuck or not. The oil pressure is great until it gets warmed up and driven awhile, and then reads low. The transmission and transfer case shifts as they should. Good radiator. I was told that the previous owner built this to use on a farm, so did not care if it was original. This would be good for trail or everyday use. Please ask about the title. Craigslist email only. If it is listed, it is still for sale. Don’t need help selling it.”
“1947 willys jeep has a rebuilt engine and transmission. It has a rollbar, a great heavy duty winch. Would be a great project . if you have any questions just ask.”
