About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

CJ7 Axles and seats. custom roll bar. Fuel Cell. swapped out motor. was a GM 350 now it has a V2203 Kubota diesel engine. still needs a transmission which will require an adaptor plate to mate the transmission to motor.”
(08/03/2018) Travis spotted this one. It looks like both sides have seen bodywork.

“1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Runs, drives, stops. Has had recently done brakes, gauges, fuel tank, clutch and carburetor rebuild. Body is banged up but looks decent enough to drive around. Sold with bill of sale no title.”
“We have a running 1947 Willys Jeep CJ-2A. It will start and run, but we recommend that the fuel tank be cleaned first. This vehicle has been sitting for many years. It has an inline 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission and PTO.
We are a tow company. The vehicle came into our possession as it was removed from the backyard a property upon request of the new owner. The title did not accompany the vehicle. We have removed the jeep from the yard and it now sits at one of the managers houses.
As of August 12th, the DMV has the vehicle registered non-op and fees to restore are $135. Vehicle will come with a Bill of Sale. This can be a great restoration project for someone to keep or willing to flip it. Either way, it has to be sold soon.
Price is negotiable. Call and let’s make a deal. We accept cash & credit cards [VISA, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX]. We are also”
“For sale is this 1953 Willys Jeep. Has a newer rebuilt V6 engine from an 80s Buick. Around 1,000 miles on the engine itself. Has new tires. Everything works. Runs good!”
“FOR SALE. 1947 Willys Overland, CJ-2A, JEEP
Previous owners have made substantial investments in the restoration of this Jeep. The engine has been rebuilt and starts and runs like new. Compression is 125 PSI in each cylinder. Oil pressure in 40 PSI. Vacuum is 20”/Hg. Brakes have new cylinders and lines. Drums and shoes are in VG condition. Exhaust system is like new with surface rust. New parts include fuel pump and tank, oil bath air cleaner, etc.
At some point in time this vehicle found itself too close to a fire, resulting in blistered paint on the right front and side of the body and two melted plastic parking light lenses. The right front tire is blistered and charred and would be unsafe to use. The other 3 tires are truely like new. Glass cracked. The grill, front fenders and windshield frame are in remarkably nice, rust free condition. The tub, though it looks generally decent, and is quite serviceable, shows rust damage that has been “repaired” (covered up) in a substandard manner. The electrical wiring is new from the battery to the ignition system. The lighting wiring has been disconnected at the switch since some original wires are worn and frayed. Upholstery is, well, take a look at the pictures. Rear seat in good.
Examination of the drive train internals shows little ware. See transmission photo.
If you want a project Jeep where the big stuff is done, take a look at this one. Great potential. Your effort will add value to this classic.
This 72 year old vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is. Clear CA title”
(08/05/2019) It appears to be a complication of parts.
“For sale. Old Willys jeep. Best I can tell it’s between 1946 to 1950. Has a buick V-6 in it. Looks like it would run. pretty clean. Haven’t tried it. Has a lift kit. New BFG mud terrains. New rims. Needs work. Has some rust, not too bad. looks to be pretty complete. Needs front drive line, and exhaust. Has power steering. I know nothing about it. Took it in as a trade. Look at the pics. NO title. Bill of sale. Last registered in 1997.”
“’46 Willy’s Jeep with new, less than 100 miles on, Toyo M/T Open Country tires including spare. Recently had exhaust extended. Also comes with new gas tank (uninstalled).”
“1948 Jeep CJ2A, drivable, new motor (have current license). Includes one more complete Jeep disassembled, plus one more new metal body with tailgate, hood, and windshield frame. $6000 for all.”
“Selling my 1948 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2A in excellent condition for $18,500 OBO. Numbers matching. Clean title in hand.
Completely ready for Moab or to be driven in a parade.
My wife says it’s time to clean out the garage and since the Willy’s mainly sits in the garage untouched, it’s probably time to let it go.
Excellent condition, no rust, everything works perfectly (better than original), starts on the first crank every time, very smooth/quiet running, always kept in a garage, and does not leak a drop of oil. Continue reading →
