About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“CJ2A custom frame, boxed, sandblasted and in primer. Gear box moved forward, radiator repositioned, new springs, gas tank relocated under rear. Custom Stainless box, widened cowl and dash taking offers”
“Runs great. Nice body, good frame, good seats.
Four-wheel drive works well.
Disk Brakes on front.
Skyjacker Lift: springs and shackles.
Roll bar and seat belts.
Great looking tires and wheels.
12 volt: Alternator and new battery.
Steering has been converted from stock: works and drives, but needs work:
· Unknown box is loose: tighten or install the provided/included rebuilt Saginaw box.
· Angle of shaft between box and column is too much for the single joint installed. Needs a double joint <$200.
· Tilt column is too short. Knuckles hit windshield. Need to replace it with another longer junkyard unit or a $90 one from Speedway. (would look better too.)
Has a vintage heater in place of a temperature gauge. Re-plumb it or sell it to a collector.
Comes with a new temperature gauge and proper fittings, need to install it.
New oil pan gasket installed: looked great inside pan.
Oil leak at pressure gauge hose: New hose in shipping now, need to install.
Trans drips so you know it has fluid. Could try 120 wt. or re-gasket.
One of the windshield panes is cracked.
Has most of a good top: both doors, good top with one mouse hole, looks like has all bows, maybe missing windshield rail. (I never put it on)
Note the nice custom speaker boxes that work well. Radio works but missing face plate. Plays the included ZZTOP CD well.
Includes NEW miscellaneous parts: points and condenser, original style carb gasket…
Good windshield wiper and motors included loose. (too close to steering wheel) No horn, I may have one.
Original spare tire mount and bolts. lots of holes to install it on side or back.
Bumper hitch.
In NON-OP. Will register if that works for buyer.”
“For sale is a completely restored 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. New tub, windshield, hood, fenders, tailgate, gas tank, wiring harnesses, engine, rims and tires, gauges, bumper, seats, radiator, and 12volt system. Repainted with a factory cream paint number.”
“This Jeep has been sitting in a pasture for 20 years. Prior to that it was used for farm work since the 1960s. It ran when it was parked, but obviously after 20 years it no longer runs. Lots of rust, but lots of history.”
“46 Willys CJ2A. Old jeep been on the farm for 60 years I know of, needs some metalwork, but all there. Run, drives and stops. Recent work: New tune up. All lights work. 4 new jeep tires and 2 new rims(old wheels and tires in pictures), all new brakes(front axle has been converted to disc with new bearings). I have done the legwork, has a clear TX title and antique tags, needs no safety inspection. Drive it home or bring a trailer.
Price is FIRM, this ain’t Uncle Bud’s used car lot. Great for the beer lease or to restore.”

The engine, transmission and 4×4 are in great condition. There are no noticeable rust issues. The paint and interior are in good condition.
Options:
All matching and brand new tires: Falken Rocky Mountains

Engine #: 2.2 Willys Go-devil
3 on the tree, three speed manual transmission”
“1946 WILLYS JEEP CJ-2A WITH 4 WHEEL DRIVE, LOCKING HUBS, 4 CYLINDER L-134 ENGINE (REBUILT PROFESSIONALLY 2018 HAVE RECEIPTS), NEW BATTERY AND COIL, NEW SEATS, FRONT TOW BAR, GOOD TIRES, SOLID BODY.”
(05/14/2019) Has no parking lights and lacks “Willys” on the hood, so this could be a mix of parts.
“In good condition for its age. Runs and drives, has tow bar, need new wire to connect headlights. Have heater for it, not installed. Have spare windshield and hard doors. Only selling to buy reliable vehicle for work. 4wd works great, has a lot of torqu”
“$1,100 OBO!!! This is what know about this cool little Jeep. It has the flathead 4 cylinder engine in it still. It will turn over with battery or by hand, but I have never tried to get it started. Come with spare tire, extra hood, and a new tailgate. I got this as a little project and never really got around to it. Now my wife and I are have our first baby. So just need to sell it. I’m asking what I’m into it, minus some time and money from driving back from Colorado to pick it up. Call or text with any questions.”
