About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1947 Jeep Willy’s for sale. RUNS AND DRIVES! This Jeep can go just about anywhere. Starts right up. Perfect for hunting or cruising around the mountains. 4 wheel drive works perfectly. Lights work, no electricical problems. Solid Jeep, title in hand. $3500 or 2nd amendment trade with cash.”
“Real clean runs great. Seat need reupholstered transmission& transfer case ,rebuild- new gauges,disc-brakes,new wiring harness, new tires – I had it Rhino lined inside & out. I’m going to be in Parker AZ on September 1”
(04/13/2018) This VEC sports a Bobcat fiberglass hood. The front frame rails could use a rebuild and the seller is very honest in photographing this (see pics on the ad).
“Runs good with 1950’s Buick 225 v6, new carb, wires, plugs, points, cap and rotor. New battery, master cylinder, brakes, rubber brake lines, and new gauges. This Jeep has power steering, and steering stabilizer. Has original 3 speed manual and original t-case, 33 inch tires with 15 inch rims. The front and back differentials leak as well as the transmission and t-case, the frame from the front of the motor to the spring shackles is rusted, and needs rebuilt. Has new brakes, can be a daily driver, no trades, no holding, cash only”
This jeep lives on “No Name Lane”. If that were set in “No Name City”, I’d be all over that location (Paint Your Wagon reference …). The jeep would have to drop in price before I’d be all over it.
“Restoration folks take notice. 3500 original miles. Don’t have a place to work on it. Hate to let her go. Frame and drive train excellent. Tub could be restored (a lotta work) I was looking for a back end section. 1st one with cash takes it”
“Putting this jeep out there to see if anyone is interested. Not parting out. Willing to entertain any offers or trades. Not sure exact year as tag is hard to read with my eyes. Best offer or best trade. Couldn’t read year made so 1946 is a guess, picture of year on tag unreadable. I have the radiator and grill that are not on in pictures.”
“1947 Jeep Willys in better than average shape. Has been in storage under a canopy for about 15 years. It has been started and run occasionally. The body is very good and the top was recently replaced. The paint is so-so, but well covered and so the body has been protected.
3200.00 or best offer. CASH only..”
“My 1948 is quite original and has been a ball to own. Here are the details:
Body and frame have some rust, but nothing terrible. Driver floor has a patch.
I added seat belts and Chicago 9000 self-cancelling turn signals with my “home made” arrow signals. All lights work.
Speedo replaced but I have the original if you want to rebuild it.
Vacuum advance distributor replaced with a centrifugal unit. I have the original.
Go Devil engine professionally rebuilt about 600 miles ago. Have receipts. Original 6 volt system. Carter carb also rebuilt.
5 NDT tires and correct wheels are about five years old.
It’s not a show vehicle but a very fun and near original driver that could be restorable if you want to go that way. Price is firm.”
