This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Willy’s CJ2A project. This is a project that I bought 10 years ago and haven’t finished. Chassis was stripped, sandblasted, and epoxy primered. Motor has been completely rebuilt. I have all the original body pieces such as the tailgate, windshield, seats, etc. I had hat channels custom made for under the body to mount to the frame. Frame is rolling with engine and tranny sitting in it. Body pieces are sitting throughout my shop. If interested text me and I will send pics.”

“This is a true antique but will perform off-road better than today’s jeeps. This has been trailered cross country and been off roading in locations in many of the best trails around.
The cj2a is a 1946 but runs on unleaded gas and can pass inspection. Has year of origin plate, ruddy security council, marine radio and speakers, warn over drive, 4 cylinder motor, spare tire, winch, locking differential.
Please don’t offer me half of asking price or ask me questions if you are not sure what you are looking at/ getting into with this vehicle.”

After WW2, Willys started to produce vehicles that could be multi-purpose. They wanted to build a truck that could complete with a tractor on the farm, so there were a bunch of factory options you could order the truck with.
This one has a factory installed hydraulic lift on the back. This was so you could pull a plow ( which comes with the truck ) or any number of other accessories. It could be disconnected if desired though.
The Jeep also comes with the rear seats and tailgate which could be installed if the hydraulic hitch is removed. “
