Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Travis shared this odd-bodied jeep. Is that a cut down 3A windshield?
“custom body on a frame off rebuild about 10yrs old. motor completely done, as well as suspension drive train etc. body is extremely strong. made of 1/8 inch plate steel. undercoated. jeep could use a bath and a little tlc and maybe some camo paint. 3 way plow included. registered and inspected–runs and drives good. tranny has a chipped tooth in 1st and reverse gear still drives ok but you will hear a clicking sound other than that this thing is a tank. it will go anywhere. strong and dependable. we are moving and can not take with us.”

“1948 Willys CJ2A
Non op and runs good. Buick 225 odd fire stroked engine, T90 transmission and T18 transfer case, setup has about 5000 miles since being rebuilt. Dana 44 in rear and Dana 27 with 11″ drum brakes.
Jeep runs, steers and brakes great, all gauges work fine. Jeep need some wiring and body work to finish
up, I am a licensed mechanic and rebuild everything myself, so a phone conversation is best to go over the
engine and running gear.”
