Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It has a rebuilt sm46 rebuilt tranny, never used, advanced adapters dana 20 transfer case rebuilt never used, front and rearend rebuilt with 488 gears and new axles with u joint style front axles. upgraded drum brakes, running 327 with 2 barrel carb and headers. Project has never been outside and is stored inside. Perfect for a project jeep. I have over 4500 invested.”

For Sale:
1. A rolling Willys CJ2A chassis with L-head 4 cyl. (have not tried starting), needs alternator and starter, the rest of the motor looks pretty complete, springs very good, frame in good shape, rear crossmember in fair shape $600. Will include a CJ3A frame in very good shape for another $100. Bill of sales only, no reg. or titles available.
2. Miscellaneous Willys parts:
*brand new CJ3A grille
*NOS 24 volt military starter (M38/M38A1) still in the military can
*tailgate…no “Willys” stamp
*CJ5 grille
*dana 25 and dana 41 axles with springs
*starters, alternators, etc.
*air cleaners
*extra L-head motors (2)

*M38 windshield with glass (side of windshield needs a little work, but certainly salvageable), also M38 hood (fair condition)

It’s a got a true “bench” seat in the rear. Looks like the windshield is plexiglass.

“1948 cj2a with a mustang 260 v8 that’s hopped up a bit with Cam carb long tube headers and a cam. Has orginal 3 speed trans transfer case and axles. This thing is loud fast and a blast that always puts a smile on anyone’s face. Nice paint, brand new tires (less than 200 miles), new battery and all fluids changed, removable top with doors, lots of led lights, loud stereo with 7″ screen. 4 point harness with comfortable racing seats, leather center console with cooler, large tool box in rear.
Comes with extra top, doors and brand new tow bar to pull it anywhere.
Hate to sell. Bought it for my wife but with some large unexpected medical bills it has to go. My loss your gain.

“Bought this as a project car. Needs an axel, brakes, stuff like that. Everything under the hood is good and electrical redone. Has some rust. Cash only price is firm. I do not know a lot about it only that my wife is pissed that I bought it”
Eric spotted this one. It looks like it may have a rear PTO shaft. The jeep also has a WWII windshield that seems in good shape. The VIN of 71912 suggests it is a 1946.
