Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys CJ2A. This was a frame off restoration 3 years ago. Body, floors and frame are rock solid. Rebuilt engine with less than 500 miles. Everything works, heater, lights, turn signals and four wheel drive. All new wiring, new tires, brakes and a custom made top and seat covers by Beechwood Canvas. Warn Overdrive installed, also will include rear PTO, drive shaft and gear shift, original radiator and original engine which can be rebuilt ( was running, stuck valves). This Jeep runs great and is very reliable.”

“I am selling my 46 Willy project that I started the work but realized I have too many projects at once. The body is stripped and and started replacing metal but needs floors finished. I have 2 sets of fenders, 2 hoods, 1 rough windshield frame, 2 tail gate, 2 grills, 1 frame with steering and axles and 1 frame with motor, trans and transfer case. I also have adapter to put the 225 v6 in it.”
