This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (03/08/2018) Floors have been patched with diamond plating.
“46 willys original flat head four. Runs and drives. New plugs wires and cleaned carb. New tires have zero miles on them. Need the front floors replaced or repaired. Has diamond plate around the outside and in the bed and upper front floors. No title but have copy of canceled check where is was paid for.”

Looks good. It’s missing the rear bow holder.

(04/14/2017) “1947 stainless willy’s jeep. ’89 front and rear differentials. Custom 20 gal gas tank. Willy’s 4 Cy engine. Just rebuilt. Disk brakes. Nice seats. Took 1st and second in the Bishop car show. Never worry about rust.”
Appears to have rust along the passenger entry side.

Has 4×4 and High-low gear, licensed, titled and registered in California. New brakes, tires, rims, gas tank, dashboard and gauges, emergency brake, summer top, seats, as well as 2nd windscreen. Buick odd fire V6. Does 60 mph easily. Tool box located under passenger seat and comes with roll bar and locking hubs.”

“1947 cj2 jeep v/6 3spd with o/d has a hard top doors its need transmission work the rear tran seal leaks it needs tune up other little things up graded bigger brakes drums with stainless wheel cylinders and more and also a tow bar.”
The original bumper has been removed and the body doesn’t have bow holders.

I can’t tell if this has the Cutlas Powerlock hubs or Free-Lock hubs.
“Bought this to make a crawler or hunting rig. Got a Toyota instead so this has been just sitting need to sell, has rebuilt 260 motor ran before setting a couple years , no title. 600 OBO”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Listed as a 1943, it appears to have a cj body.
“Bought to fix up and do a complete restore but I don’t have the time and I am moving where I won’t have garage. Turns over fine just hasn’t started yet could be fuel issue. Former owner had it running good but set for three years. Has collector plates so no tags are required. 2,500 I will be having mechanic come and help me soon because I have no time do to work. Once fixed price goes up. Title in hand. Thanks for looking. No trades unless it a running jeep no Cherokees”

“1947 Willy’s cj2a – clean title 289 or 302
yes there’s a v8 in this little Betty. still has the 3 speed and transfer case. So here’s the back story on this piece of American history. In 1990 it was a running machine. Then the body was taken off the frame – both were stored in a shed until a year ago, while it sat the aftermarket gas tank, gauges, starter and steering column went missing. The motor turns over by hand. This is a project. like I said it’s been sitting since 1990. I’m asking 1600 open to offers or trades.”
