This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
Has an f-head and a few non stock parts, but still might be worth a look. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was very little rust. The Watsonville area is pretty dry. I lived in nearby Aptos for a few years.

(06/24/2013) Given it doesn’t look like there was any gas filler on the driver’s side, I’m not sure what body this is front. Maybe DJ or repro? Looks like a nice build.

The body and other parts appear to be in reasonable shape. Might have some new springs, too. Definitely worth a look.

“I have for sale a cj2a that has a a ford gpw tub and fenders on it. The engine is stuck and there is a title. It does have the cj2a windshield, hood, grill, engine, t90 transmission, transfer case, axles and radiator, lots of parts for the money. The tub, fenders and several small parts are f marked. “eatiful 1948 Jeep CJ2A Willys
We believe we are the 4th owner only in it’s life. The mileage is approximately 77,800 original miles with the original engine. Does it have character yes but runs and drives great. Top end is about 50 mph and will run all day.
It has been converted to 12v and this winter we did the following
– Brake Pads, Rotors, Calipers, Hoses, & Steel Lines
– Spark Plugs & Wires
– Ingnition & Coil
– Distributor Cap & Rotor
– Lots of Gaskets and Seals
– Transfer Case Oil Pan
– Choke and Throttle
– Steering Stabilizer
– New Guages (except for odometer)
We have the original rims for the smaller tires if you want them. Comes with a bikini top and a soft top. The best news is those areas where it normally has rust has NONE. Nothing in the wheel wells and not even any in the tool box. The original paint has been painted over as it was originally the deep harvest red. The rest has all the character that makes this Willys so popular. “
