About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(06/23/2016) “47 CJ2Aproject with an extra tub for patch panels. Jeep is apart but is a rolling project w/trans and axles still functioning. No title.contact me for more info. Nice jeep project. Could be used to make a military jeep clone. Please be serious if you contact me – not just a tire kicker”
“Nice survivor. Rebuilt 134 cu inch Hurricane engine. Brand new clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and fork, with the addition of the upgraded input shaft bearing for the transmission (with seals). Everything works – transfer case, brakes, electricals (lights, gauges) and even the horn. New 6 volt battery. Seats in excellent shape, with rear bench, and matching top and spare tire cover. One look and you’ll see how well this Willys was taken care of.”
“This Jeep CJ-3A is a restored example that was featured on BaT in January of 2014. Power is supplied by a L-134 “Go Devil” four-cylinder and 3-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the previous owner purchased the jeep from the second owner in 2003, and restoration work was completed in 2004. It has been co-owned by the seller and a business partner since 2014. Just under 21k miles have been driven since the completion of restoration work, around 500 miles of which were driven during the seller’s ownership. Details of the restoration include replacement of the body tub, sandblasting and refinishing the frame, a new top and interior, and detailing of the mechanical components.”
Are the headlights recessed? There’s something different here.
“This jeep has been on my farm and doesn’t get driven. I just sent it to the mechanic and had a new starter installed and some wiring repaired. The jeep looks good, has the original engine, but the body has some obvious previous repair work performed. I never had a title, this vehicle is old enough that it can be sold with a bill of sale.”
(10/15/2017) Almost original condition with a few minor changes.
“1948 JEEP CJ2A, completely original condition, purchased from original family, total nuts and bolts mechanical restoration was done, have all receipts !
