About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This is a 1947 Willys CJ2A. It is complete accept for the lack of body panels. It has a dauntless V6 out of a later Jeepster Commando. Would make a great project if you have a tub. Make an offer”
This has a fiberglass body. It’s listed as a high hood, but it’s obviously a low hood.
“46 Fiberglass Willy’s high hood body with thousands done in frame mounted full cage tube work. Custom safari top, half doors, fully hard top. Frame stretched and plated to get 100″ wheelbase. LS Motor mounts, racing bucket seats with bench rear seat, seat belts, nice heating system setup, has custom gauges and switches. I have Washington Classic plates for this and clear Washington state title. A lot of work done just needs motor and running gear to finish.
Also have pair of Wagoneer D44 axles front and rear with springs I can throw in for $500 more if interested.”
“I have two 1946 Willys jeeps for sale. They have been setting up for a couple of years. One in great condition for its age, the other one is a little rough. I will take $3,500 for both obo. The green one has a title, the brown one does not.”
“This is a project I started years ago, but don’t have the time for now. The engine is a 1950 Studebaker Champion straight 6. The engine was running, the Jeep T-90 transmission and the transfer case are good. The Studebaker clutch is bad. Overall decent shape.”
“We have a 1948 Willys Jeep for sale or barter asking $2,000 OBO has the original transmission 4 cylinder Ford engine that is locked up but has a new head on it the guy we got it from stuck a paper towel in the oil feel after putting new head the engine is locked up but the head is good I would like to trade for a vehicle for my 16 year old son to go back and forth to school in let me know what you got the vehicle must Run drive and have a clear title. title in hand for the Jeep”
“Complete and all original. Have title. Ran when I parked it, but haven’t ran it for several years. Body sound. No rust hole. Be great for restoration.”
“I have a 1948 Willys cj2a “lefty” up for sale. Very rare. Only a hand full were made with the spare tire on the left side of the jeep. Has the L head 4cyl, runs good, drives good, all of the brakes are brand new, lines and all, front brakes have been converted to cj7 disc brakes.
Brand new set of super swamper tsl’s.
The floor pans were replaced about 10 years ago so there is no rust in the floorboards. But for some reason when they put the new floors in the did not cut the old floors out, so it you look under the jeep you can the old metal.
Has a 3000lb winch, has a heater, and also has a bestop soft top and doors that are about 3 years old. So she’s good to drive in the winter. The heater will burn you completly out if you let it.
Needs minor little things. It could use a new tie rod to the pitman arm,( there’s some slack in the steering)
Not a very good paint job on it.
And it smokes out of the tail pipe alittle bit until it warms up. Other than. It is an absolute BA piece of history with lots of life left, and it extremely fun to drive. Would make an awesome restoration, but heck it’s still awesome if you like the rugged history look.”
(10/02/2016) Has an f-head. The cammo wrap nearly hides the hood’s head bump.
“1948 willys jeep 4 cylinder 3speed runs but needs a muffler and a brake job. clean title in my name and reg. is up to date. $3000. consider trade for Suzuki samurai, or 4×4 quad. thanks for looking.”
