About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Seller erroneously describes the M-38A1 as an MB and the cj body as a 1942.
“1942 Willy’s jeep body flat fenders hood windshield seats fuel tank grille and frame. Have title and currently registered.
1953 mb runs and drives no paperwork.
Extra windshield 2 roll bars.
Package deal $2500 obo.”
“1 CJ2A tub, ’46-’48, no dataplate, does require some love (don’t they all). Comes with another tub, from tool box forward are from a 46, with data plate, the bed is from a later model and is fairly rotted out. Also has 1 set of fenders, hood, grill, tailgate. Buyer takes it all, $300 OBO”
“1948 Jeep Willys CJ 2 4WD in excellent condition. It has Chevy V8 short block 350 engine and 3 gears with overdrive transmission (easy 70MPH). No leaks. All electric work excellent! Daily driver! Current registration. Smog exempt!”
“For Sale 2 Willys Jeeps (1) 1946 (1) 1950 being sold for parts, 46 is 99% complete engine is free 50 was a donor but still has good parts asking a $1000 for the pair please call”
Seller indicates this is in perfect condition, but it seems to be missing parking lights at the very least.
“i am selling 1948 jeep willys in perfect condition, it has no leakage at all, it is in great condition with no rust and it also runs too. the price is frim 8,000 please don’t try to low ball me, because It is hard to find good running jeep willys espically with orginal flat head motor”
(07/26/2016) The body and plates look to be VEC. The hardtop might be a Carson CarCraft.
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A has a flat head 4 cylinder engine and all high lows was a good running around 15 years ago, comes with extra parts. The jeep would make a great hunted rig. The floor pans are rusty and need to be replaced”
I really had to stare at this one for a while. I *think* this is might be a 2A with some 3B and wagon parts. But, it also has full floaters in the rear. I like the “original” flathead engine that is actually an f-head.
“1948 Willys Jeep with flat head 4 cyc original engine, manual, 4×4, all matching numbers…. this jeep has plowed our snow for years….”
Has OD and a V-8. It also has a variety of mods in the front frame area.
“I’m selling my 48 CJ2A it’s a great little willys. Runs great and with the overdrive it will do 50.Has a small block Ford in it now and a warn overdrive. New tires! I installed a brand new wiring harness in it last winter and all the lights are new. Has a Harrison heater that will melt your legs! Comes with a really nice BestTop soft top and full doors. Transmission is tight and doesn’t slip out of 2nd gear like most of them do. Brand new radiator. New seats front and back. Also has new seat belts. New Napa gold lifetime warranty alternator. New MB 9 Slot grille, I like the look of them, but I have the stock grille and it’s in good shape. Have many spare parts including a complete, torn down, L134 engine that go with it. I have some other spare parts for it as well. The body is in decent shape, the hat channels need replaced and part of the floor pans as well. They have sheet metal patches over them now. I can answer any questions you have. Price is negotiable. Looking for trades but only a Wrx, supra, 240sx or other fun car.”
