About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
It’s a project. The seller wants it to go to a good home.
“Started this project but other things have come up. Removed the rusted out tub. This comes with a number of new replacement parts and a number of original parts such as the hood, grill, windshield, tire rims and others. Including Rear PTO and gear box.”

“1947 Willys Cj2a for sale. This Willys is in great condition and ready for summer. The engine is a Chevrolet 283 and runs great. It has a full roll bar, complete soft top with doors, additional 5 stock rims and tires. It also has a heater, tow bar, and has had seat belts installed.”
“This jeep is in great shape. It runs good and is very reliable. It was restored with new paint 10 years ago. It is a driver. Only issues is I have never bothered to sort out taillight wiring and the speedometer does not work. It has a new set of ndt tires and original wheels.”
“I hate to do this, but I’ve had an unexpected financial burden hit me and need to free up some cash…
I’m selling mt 1948 Willys CJ2a. It has a Buick Oddfire V6, T90 3 speed transmission and Dana 18 t-case. The rear axle is Dana 41 and front Dana 27, 4.38 gears. It has a set of worn 265/75/15 BFG All Terrains. I’ve rebuilt the seats with new foam and covers, have new seat pans that have yet to be installed. I rebuilt the rear brakes with new wheel cylinders and shoes and upgraded to disc brakes in the front. I have rebuilt the carb, it has new spark plugs. It fires up pretty easily and runs great. The exhaust was re-done, it’s a little cheesy but it works. It runs and drives pretty good as it, but needs a proportioning valve installed (which I have). The headlights work, the brake lights need work and don’t function at the moment. The frame is solid, but there is some hokey welding on it. Body is decent, but has a big rust hole in the passenger rear tub.
It’s a great little Willys that runs and drives as is, but needs some finishing (prop. valve) and minor tinkering from there to be a fun play Flatty. I really hate to sell it, wouldn’t if I didn’t need cash.”
(05/14/2017) Seller is moving and can’t take it with him.
“I purchased a ’46 Willy’s from a friend in hopes of enjoying it for a summer. I ended up having to do some work on it and didn’t get to use it. I’m moving in the near future and cannot take it with me. I’m asking less than what I have into it. Since I purchased it I have put in a new fuel pump and filter, new carburetor, new battery and replaced multiple wires and fuel lines as well. I have the original collector plates and also new WA plates that still have yet to be installed. This will be a fun rig for someone this spring and summer.”
“Selling my Willys Jeep project. It was on here before, but all the calls wanted to hear it run. I did a lot of work to get it running, including a starter overhaul, relay, battery, and wiring.
It runs, but acts like the main jet is clogged. It idles well, but doesn’t have much power. I don’t have a kit or the time to rebuild it.
Starts with the key. Alternator works, but no indication, as I didn’t put in the ammeter or voltmeter. Has oil pressure. Everything in the brakes was replaced. Cylinders (wheel and master), lines, and shoes. NO PARKING BRAKE. New radiator and hoses. Turn signals added, but not wired. NO TITLE. 4WD and transfer case all work. Has the 3 lever transmission setup. 3 speed manual. Engine is the 4 cylinder flathead.
This jeep IS NOT a candidate for restoration. The frame and body are mostly held together with poorly done welding. It has poorly welded in floorboards. You won’t fall through. The front frame horns do not exist. No tailgate. I do have 3 of the 16 inch wheels.
Can’t find any numbers on the frame or body, but I do have a set of military dataplates I will include. This Jeep needs to leave on a trailer. It is not ready to be driven on the road.
I’ll reduce the price by $500 if it doesn’t start when you come to look at it.’
“1946 Willys civilian jeep. Chevy small block turbo 350 trans. Chassis has been stripped and dipped. All the hard work is done. I have everything to finish. Serious inquiries only . It came out of California. Just needs harness installed primer and paint. Setup for real 4 wheeling. Serious money and time went into this rig.”
“1946 jeep willys rat rod. has a buick 350 and a th350 trans automatic. Is a lot of fun and gets a lot of looks and comments. motor is strong and runs good. drives good to, unless your on a bumpy road. it still has jeep leaf spring suspension. Has new radiator, alternator, plugs, wires, distributer, brakes, calibers, gauges… the bad, wont shift into 3rd gear. ive been running it without it. shifts fine in first, second, reverse. runs 60 to 65 no problem. To me that’s fast enough in this thing. would consider trades. let me kno. worst I could say is no. I also have a front bumper for it. just havnt put it on yet.”
