Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. That roll cage ought to protect passengers.
“Southern CJ2A from Missouri and Illinois. Runs good and drives good. Front disc brakes, new super swampers and Allied beadlock wheels (5 for a set). Cage, new seats to fit an actual adult that is 6′ tall. Yellow top optima battery, converted to 12v, 8k warn winch. Body is in fair to good shape, floor pans have been replaced but just sheet metal screwed in, it’s got a nice patina too for a rat rod look. Not needing to sell it, no trades please.”

“1947 Willys Jeep CJ 2A, restored with late model Chevy 4 cylinder engine. 12 volt, updated steering, dual master cylinder for safety, and 4 wheel drive works good. It has 31-10.50-15 tires. Bikini top with roll bar AND an original aluminum hard top. Reliable transportation.”

I bought it last year from Mt with plans to restore.
It is pretty much complete including engine, trans/tranfer case, seats, etc.
Everything appears to need a rebuild and the tub is very rough.
New tubs are available online.
Tires pictured don’t go with Jeep but could be included for a price.

“2 1946 willy cj2a jeeps…1 jeep is early ’46 parts jeep (stuck F-head) with working column shift tranny + all column linkage intact…serial #15848 on all 4 tags……other jeep is later ’46 with what appears to be an early ’45 L-head motor # CJ-2A-B 10443…motor runs decent on choke…needs tranny + tin work…sold with bill of sale…$1200. for the pair…”

“RUNS GREAT no smoke or leaks.New top, I have the doors,they have been in my office and are brand new. New glass in windshield.new gas tank,water pump,fuel pump,tsat and gasket,carb o/haul.newer battery.All original 6 volt and 6 volt winch.I have the spare and the spare tire holder,mount for jerry can and the back seat and the little jump seat that goes in front. last fall had oil and filter,all fluids changed frt and rear diff and transfer case.wheel bearing packed,brakes clean and adjusted.working heater with lighted switch. Trailer go with it, have title.I also have 2 tow bars for the front ”
