About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(12/01/2015) Has a variety of updates. Looks well built.

“Was posted as not driving earlier but I fixed the transmission issue.
1948 Willys CJ-2A, aka Jeep, was summer project, asking $3,500 or best offer, if you got a good Stihl or husky saw (20” bar preferred) to negotiate with that’d work. NO OTHER TRADES.
Lots of recent work:
Fluids changed: Gas, oil (and filters x2), transmission, transfer, front differential (all with correct “safe for all metals” fluids) coolant, brakes. New coolant temp gauge. New fuel pump, new fuel hose (second tank not hooked up yet). Parking brake refurbished, new parking brake cable and cable housing, New front brake lines, Front hubs and bearings re-greased. Carb re-gasket/rebuild new choke cable, cable housing, pull piece in cab, new air filter. New speedometer and cable. Electrical cleaned up, headlights and brake lights operational. I have brake master cylinder gasket rebuild kit, it didn’t need it. Skid plate was cleaned up but I didn’t remount because I was still working on speedometer. Added front tow attachment, and rear hubs can be un-locked for easy flat towing.
It starts powerfully, runs and drives well but I have no time to play or take it to the next level.”

“1948 williys cj2a, runs great! It has a 4.3 liter chevy motor, spartan lockers front and rear with a dana 30 front and AMC 20 rear. It has 34″ tsl’s, warn wench, roll cage and harnesses. Needs a rear driveshaft”
(09/22/2015) Solid militarized 2A. The seller writes a great deal in his post, but say very little about the jeep. This may be not be “Barbie’s Jeep” but it isn’t the jeep that “freed Europe”.
“This isn’t Barbie’s Jeep. This is a RED-BLOODED AMERICAN, WAR-WINNING, STEEL FORGED JEEP! If your blood runs Red, White, and Blue than this is the vehicle you have been looking for. This isn’t any run of the mill Jeep. This was the Jeep that freed Europe from Hitler and helped to drop the bomb on Japan.”
“I have a 1946 Jeep Willy’s. I started restoring it. The frame and everything has been totally sandblasted and recoated in Eastwood chassis epoxy. Every nut, every bolt, everything was sand blasted and coated. It has a ton of work and new parts, just needs finished. Lost interest after divorce and must go. Needs fuel lines installed (have on hand) and finished put together. Have lots of extra parts also. Continue reading →
“For sale is a 1947 Willys cj2a jeep. This was restored about 10 years ago with a fiberglass body. The frame was sandblasted and painted and everything was completely gone through. New seals, fluids, brakes, exhaust, clutch…original flat head engine was rebuilt with hardened valve seats and bored .040. Some upgrades include.. seats, gauges, turn signals, 12v alternator, spin on oil filter… $8000.00”
“1947 Willys CJ2A 4×4 3 speed in the floor. Has original flat head motor. Runs drives and stops. Won’t shift into 3rd gear believe it is the synchronizer. I have a brand new synchronizer in the box that will be included in sale. Reverse, 1st and 2nd gear work. Currently is tagged with antique tags. Frame is in good shape. A few rust spots on the tub. I have a few spare parts that I may include if the price is right. I have an extra T90 transmission and a set of 16″ wheels with NDT tires that are pretty much shot. Possible trades: Honda XR650L, Chevy trucks, CJ3B, vintage Gibson guitars, possibly something else interesting. Just let me know what you’ve got the worst I can say is no. Clean & clear TN title in my name.”
(08/15/2015) This has an unusual rollcage. The jeep still needs some work.
“We are no longer firmly asking what a Willys CJ2A in this nice condition is worth at $4,700. But, with being in urgent need to get items sold for unexpected financial expenses, we are willing to consider any reasonable offers and will consider trade from partial to full.
We have owned this CJ2A for about 7 years and put a total of about 50 miles on it. When we bought it we thought about doing an extensive restoration as that is our side line business of restoring old trucks and Jeeps.
“Ran and drove when parked in garage 3 years ago. 4 wheel drive works as well. Converted to 12 volt system. Body is very clean and is fully complete. Its a very fun and good project. I’m posting this for my dad. He’s selling because I have one we are restoring and don’t really have time for a second one. Any questions just text or call. $3200 OBO. Spare parts jeep included if you can haul it off with this one.”
