About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Ran good and strong until several years ago. I added water to the engine and I forgot about it and it cracked during the winter so the engine has a cracked block Good restoration project. Everything else worked on it. Four-wheel-drive, low and high”
“Tub has no rust. Original drive train works. F-head motor. Starts and stops. Needs gas tank cleaned and new supply line. Mileage unknown. Serious inquiries only. No trades.”
“Body is in bad shape. Early chevy V8 255 Cubic inch transplant motor. Current Iowa title. Comes with a 72 inch Meyer snow plow. I can load on a trailer”
“1947 Cj2a. Runs and drives but does smoke. No brakes. Body is a bit rough. A few new parts such as fuel pump, fuel tank, carburetor, distributor, etc. NO TITLE. Will consider trades for a good running 4×4 ATV.”
(05/19/2023) RJ is helping sell this customized CJ-2A. Note the engine and dash updates. It also has a convenient flip-down spare tire carrier in the back.
“1947 CJ2a Willy’s Overland Jeep. $5,000 OBO.
Has a 1988 Buick/Olds 3.8 V6 fuel injected engine that was swapped out with a V6 from a 1988 Cutlass Ciera, along with the power steering, steering wheel and possibly the seats. The odometer states approx. 13k miles, but that is NOT accurate. Exact mileage is unknow.
It is connected to a 700R4 automatic tranny and the original transfer case, which appears to have dull shifter sticks, along with the factory Dana 18. It will run but not very well, forward and reverse gears working.
Power brakes and power steering. Stock axles with mile marker hubs. Newer slot mag style wheels, 30-9.50r15 tires that are starting to weather check. Fuel tank and filter were replaced last year.
The body work is starting to show its age but the tub isn’t terrible underneath. A few bubble spots, clear coat fading and paint damage on hood from a tarp. The bondo is about 5/10 on the Rathbone scale. Fenders have been customized as well as the tailgate, it has CJ7 style hinges and latch. Besttop tiger top has a few winters left in it, windows are starting to fog. Custom seats, carpet kit, back seat, radio console, gauge cluster and roll bar inside. Located in Pocatello, ID”
“This is my project Jeep. Body and good shape has a little rust in the normal places. Frame has been sandlasted and painted Comes with a chevy v 6 That has been gone through and new gaskets, A new three fifty automatic transmission, new advanced adapter Transfer case has been gone through… Has all the body parts to put back together”
(09/21/2023) Runs and drives. This has a unique cargo carrier(?) on the hood. The driver’s drain hole looks filled.
