Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 CJ-2A Willys Jeep with windshield. Ran great a couple of years ago. Now water is getting into the oil. Either bad head gasket or cracked block. Hopefully bad head gasket. Good ranch vehicle. Probably to much work to turn into a show piece. Buy as is. Located east of Fredericksburg. If you look at it you have to buy it. (06/28/2013) One rough jeep and other parts.
“1948 jeep willys cj2a. ran about 3 years ago but has been parked since. Chevy small block. tons of extras almost enough to make a second jeep including:
*some parts are military*
New windshield
New padding and upholstery for seats
tub (blue in picture) existing one has some rust
frame
2 grills”
This has the tool indents, column shift, and the squared bolts for the bow holders, but lacks the full floaters it should have if it is a ’45. Maybe the rear end was replaced?
“1945 willys CJ2A VEC “Very Early civilian” only 1400 of these one of a kind jeep where built. These came with military jeep bodies. But some early changes by willys. One change being they came with a column shift!! 3 on the tree. Jeep runs and drives great!! just jump in it and go! This is a great little jeep. The whole body has been treated with Rhino Lining,Top and Bottom – forever tough.I’m selling this for a good friend of mine.He has had it for about five years,and only uses it for a yearly parade in Rossville IL. It lives it the garage the rest of the time. lol. It has the original motor and transmission. I started it right up to pull it out of the garage for the pictures.The speedometer doesn’t work. Brakes and clutch felt a little soft,but worked good. It comes with a BRAND NEW soft top, Never installed (see pictures).It is for sale locally, so may end auction at any time.”

(06/06/2015) The turbo 400 tranny has pushed the transfercase back a ways. That rear driveline must not be very long.

A softtop with doors for the winter and a bikini top for the summer. Custom rear rack for ice chest and fuel cans. Heavy duty tow bar with taillight plugin. K/C lights, rancho shocks, 6 inch lift, lots of extra parts . This is very dependable ride great for the trail or a everyday driver its also alot of fun at pismo.
