Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This Jeep starts, runs and drives. Fiberglass body tub and fenders. Windshield, hood and grill are OE. 12v conversion. Minimal frame rust and no apparent cracks. New fuel tank. Brand new full manual set. Hand brake doesn’t work. Needs tires and shocks. Oil seeping in several places from the drive train. When I purchased this Jeep, I was told the brakes and the clutch had been replaced. I have not verified that, but the brake lines have been replaced and the backing plates are solid. The clutch does not slip or chatter. The roll bar is only for appearance.”

“I’m looking to sell my 1947 stretched CJ2A this was stretched by a dealership back in the day. I bought this off a ranch in Michigan where it’s been since new. This Jeeps runs and drives I just replaced the brakes on this Jeep. Looking to get 7000 located in vermilion Ohio”

1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A Clean Title, owned for about 10 years. Mainly storage kept but less than 500 miles since putting the motor in. 3 speed with overdrive V6 rebuilt motor that came out of a 1979 Buick Skylark. Clutch replaced with motor. Dana 18 transfer case and T90 Transmission Just rebuilt the radiator New alternator just installed as well. All 4 Tires have great tread including spare. Brand new We do have the back seat and front. Also have a set of chains for two tires.”
My takeaway on this one is, it’s the first I’ve heard of the town of Hasty, Colorado.

There is a very easy, legit, and fully legal way to obtain title for this jeep. If you’re interested, I’ll gladly tell you how.
A brief rundown about this jeep:
It sat in a while in a field at the original owner’s property. I don’t know exactly how long. I was told it was in a shed.
It was VERY not running when I got it.
There was very clearly some work work/maintenance done to it however..
What I have done over the past 2 years:
I was going to make this into a plow vehicle, but have decided to stick with my atv.

I’ve never heard of using Suzuki Sidekick brakes on a jeep.

Brakes have been completely redone with sidekick disc brakes up front
Rebuilt engine, with less than 500 miles
New aluminum radiator with electric fan
Gm alternator conversion
Approximately 17 gallon fuel tank that runs underneath both front seats
eBay mud terrains
Amazon wiring harness
The ebrake is missing
Needs shocks
Front wheel bearings need to be replaced
The carburetor is an old solex and not ideal but it runs
The windshield frame is in pretty bad shape
Brake lights don’t work
The t90 works, it doesn’t pop out of gear but it is worn out. Comes with rebuild kits and enough parts to rebuild it and build an extra t90
Comes with a ton of extra parts
Including steering column
Two extra Dana 18’s
Warn Saturn overdrive
All the parts to assemble a t90 plus rebuild the one in it
Water pump
Drive shafts and axle shafts
A set of rebuilt mb axles
An mb windshield
And some extra wheels that wouldn’t fit over the disk brakes
Comes with a complete mb band parking brake”
