Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Jeep Willys Cj2, 4×4, Flathead 4cyl engine, has new army style tires and rims. Have title for it. Vehicle is not in running order and is a project. It needs a new starter and alternator. It can be converted to a 12 volt system. Seats need to be replaced. Needs body work. If interested call”

This rare Willys is loaded with extra options: jump seat, wipers, plow, full canvas top, engine original, has all clips on nuts nothing looks worked on. Found in a barn. Has the original key. “Got a fully disassembled original willys cj2a flat fender jeep its amazing how solid it is the entire jeep has been tore down sandblasted the couple small little rust spots have patch panels ready to be installed the frame and axles have been blasted and powder coated axles arent complete frames beautiful no rust or rot straight ready to be built there is all tons of parts gauges brackets trim hinges lights springs theres two tailgates windshield windshield frame original seats hood grill no motor trans or t case but everything else to build jeep is there you wont find a cleaner original steel jeep thats over 60 yrs old it has light surface rust but no paint or body filler hiding anything you see the couple little rust spots and theres replacement parts panels and support structures even though it doesn’t need all of them im asking $3,500 obo if it dont sell ill build it then ask alot more money call or text ”

“1940 Willys jeep with original motor and transmission, 3 speed transmission with 4wd and the engine is a flat 4. No registration or title because it’s so old it’s only possible to have a registration but I don’t have the correct one. Runs and drives to a certain extent. Lights aren’t wired up, has a 6 volt system and seems like it was in the process of being turned into a 12 volt system, breaks don’t work, probably needs a master cylinder and all new wheel cylinders. “I am looking to trade my 1946 Willys CJ2A. I have owned it for the past 6 months with the intention of restoring it. The person I purchased it from owned it for the last 35 years and it was stored inside. It had a partial restoration at some point during those 35 years.
The motor runs well and has great oil pressure. The transmission in it was bad and I have since replaced it with a transmission/transfer case from another jeep. It has a new gasket and seal kit and the gears of both looked very good. I also replaced the TO bearing while I had it apart. The clutch and pressure plate looked good. The trans is 90% hooked up. It needs the e brake and drive shafts hooked up.
