About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Hard to find Ford GPW jeep with all new floor huge tires 2 new aluminum gas tanks new spring leafs with ford 289 and transmission came out of running vehicle have some extra parts for engine”
“This Willys CJ2A is in pretty solid shape with good floors, tub and frame. I haven’t found any severe rust that I’d worry about. The paint is peeling up, but the panels are quite straight and ready for a new coat. It has a soft top under the hard top, a spare tire carrier and all the glass. This little champ ran and drove when I got it, the previous owner had put an industrial l134 under the hood. It had a head gasket leak and enough water got into the crankcase that is developed a knock. I shut it off immediately, so that motor is definitely rebuildable. I put the original motor back in it, an l134 that was recently rebuilt before seizing from sitting. I got the pistons free but one of the valves is still stuck, I’ll continue trying to break it loose. No title. I’m looking to sell it for the 3k I have in it, since I don’t time for it anymore or the facilities. Ask me anything else you want to know!”
“Selling all my jeep stuff at one time,
49 CJ2A with title running driving stopping lots of new parts
Two 47 CJ2As one runs will shift 1st and reverse the other is complete drivetrain parts jeep
Two CJ5s one 1960s runs drives, other complete drivetrain parts jeep believe 55
M38 with new aftermarket tub in the middle of a frame off with a bunch of GPW stuff
2 engines already been through machine shop, 2 extra M38 tubs one maybe salvageable other parts, extra M38 frame, extra CJ frame
And a bunch of other parts, too many to list”
Listed as a 1948, this has a column shifter. Looking at the interior pic of the left side, this might have had indents that were filled in. Unclear how much value is here given the engine issue and body rust.
“I have a 1948 Jeep Willy CJ2A The engine will need to be rebuilt and atleast one tire replaced. The front floor board has several rust spots. There is no windshield. This is definitely a project Jeep”
“Rough shape, potential project! Have title which is huge with these old Jeeps. Unfortunately not the original engine, but fortunately it has a 5.8 liter motor from an 80s ford! Hit me up with questions!”
“Runs, Goes, Then Dies, Then Runs Again… Needs a little love from someone who knows what they are doing. Probably a simple fix to be reliable fun. Sold As Is.”
“Cj2a in good shape very solid body it’s been stored indoors for last 20 years. I did have this jeep running briefly about 2 years ago. New seats gas tank and fuel lines. Tractor tires do not go with the jeep. I will put different tires on the Jeep if it sells.”
