About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I’m going ’47 CJ-2A, but happy to update this to what others think this is.
Re-powered, front frame looks to have some extras, but I feel it’s a CJ-2A, has a rear tire mount of sorts. Could just be a bunch of parts tossed together and just be a Willys Salad.
Information from seller:
I do not know the year. No there is no title. It is a project. Has motor and trans. I do not know if they work properly. All wheels roll. Will need restored. Can help load or deliver once looked at and paid.
Listed 10 Weeks ago, it looks like a big pile of parts, so some assembly required. But its miss leading as it’s a combination of a few Jeeps here.
Information from seller:
1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A project. Everything is there to finish the Jeep. Comes with Warn 8274 winch, brand new tires, fresh rebuilt engine, transmission and transfer case. Comes with tons of extra parts. Comes with new floor pans to repair rusted floors. Has spare frame that has been sand blasted and primed. Has clear Minnesota title. If you have any questions please call or text [hidden information]. Asking $5500 OBO.
47’ cj2a, 225 v6, runs, drives, kinda stops (sometimes) battery is tired, will need a good goin thru. Just enough wiring to start it. Trailer is a 46’ bantam. There are holes in the floor, so I screwed some tin to it so I could use it. Will also include a NOS Bestop soft top. Both Jeep and trailer have clean titles. If the ads up , it’s available.
VEC? Never know on these but it does have the looks of an earlier ’46, 3 plates on the dash one is showing a low 30k serial number. Not qualified to call it a VEC, but it would be worth a look if you are in the market for those. Missing some of the early stuff for sure, but still has a lot going for this one.
Information from seller:
WILLYS JEEP 1946 CJ-2A
CLEAN TITLE
HAD IT RUNNING LAST YEAR
Have replacement panels for restoration
Complete L-134 flathead engine assembly. Was running when pulled out of my jeep. Also have the starter, generator, regulator, air cleaner assembly. Engine mounts, flywheel, clutch disc, other small parts.
Listed 3 Weeks ago. Does not run, details out as a mid ’47 Production and listed as an ’48.
But might be worth a look.
Information from seller:
For sale is an original 1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep — an iconic post-war civilian model with great bones and tons of potential. This classic 4×4 car with a cabin I bought last year, and has been sitting for several years, but it’s mostly complete and should run again with a bit of mechanical work. • Serial number: 149728 (mid-1947 production) • 4WD with hi/lo transfer case • Odometer: ~60,000 miles • Floor-shift transmission (T90) • Seats, gauges, and dash are intact • Rolls freely, steering and drivetrain all move This Willys would make a great restoration project or ranch cruiser. It has the classic look and rugged charm collectors love. Clean title in hand (or update this line). Not currently running (previous owner said he had it running last like 8 years ago), but I believe it can be made to run with fuel system cleanup, battery, and tune-up. $4,500 OBO – serious inquiries only. Message me with questions or to come take a look.
