About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Hate to see this go, but I don’t have time for it and I started a new project. This is a 1946 Wilkys titled Jeep, custom suspension with a modified YJ frame. 38″ tires, beadlock aluminum Wheels, full roll cage, 5 point harness and a rear mounted radiator. It’s powered by a fuel injected Chevy 350. As is for the asking pice. Leave the wheels and tires behind and I’ll knock it down to $7000. I have to retrieve it from storage for it to be looked at so serious buyers only. No low-ballers and no scammers. I don’t NEED to sell it, I just don’t need to keep it and I figure it’s time for the next person to enjoy it. Cash only. Local only. Has a clean title.”
(03/18/2014) Listed as a 1945 CJ-2A, I don’t see anything left that would indicate this is a 1945.
“1945 Willys CJ-2A It Has a 3a windshield on it and have the 2a windshield also. Has new soft top from bestop also have bikini top. Has a new heater and wiper motor. The front wheel bearings have been repacked and has new front brakes with rebuilt front wheel cylinders, also has new master cylinder. The engine is a hurricane F head 1953 or newer. It has a tow bar with rear lights wired in so no need for auxillary lights. Converted to 12 volt system, has electric fuel pump, new fuel tank and fuel guage sender. AM/FM CD in custom ammo can center console needs new antenna. Has removable rear seats with seat belts. High lift bumper jack attached to rear bumper. Four wheel drive works great, top speed full throttle 62 mph drives 50 fairly comfortably. I have a service manual and spare trans and transfercase.”
“This jeep is a 1947 Willys CJ2A. It is in very good condition. It still has the original 3 speed manual transmission in it but the motor is a ford straight six. It had been sitting for over a year until recently cause it had a lot of rust in the fuel tank and I didn’t want to drive it like that. I removed the fuel tank and put a temporary tank out of my 4 wheeler to get it running. It will need a new fuel tank which is around $150.00 also the carburetor could use a tune up and the brakes are original and they could use a little work. Last week I out a new fuel line, fuel filter, water pump, thermostat, changed the oil and filter, and flush the radiator with new coolant. I bought it to take in parades and hit some trails with the kids but just haven’t had the time. I absolutely hate to see it go but i would like to have a newer jeep to get back and forth to work. If you got any questions or would like to take a look at it let me know. I am asking $5,500 or would be willing to trade for a newer jeep.”

It has a m38 windsheild on it now but it comes with the correct CJ winsheild. Snow tires are old but have plenty of life left. Currently registered, clean title, and just drove it to the gas station yesterday.”
Listed as a 1947, it appears to have a ‘lefty’ body.

(08/12/2014) I would think that bumper would block the headlights?
“For sale is my 1946 jeep willys cj-2a It has a 1974 ford pinto 2.3L engine and C4 automatic transmission. It starts up with ease, but will need some tuning to get it completely road worthy. New plugs, wires, starter, coil, exhaust, timing belt, carb was rebuilt last year. Selling to find other projects. This vehicle is not appropriate for street use, needs blinkers and a windshield. Brake lights and headlights work great.“
(06/24/2014) Lots of work done on the Chassis. Note that the front of this body has been lifted, probably to fit the engine underneath.
“This is titled in Oregon as a 1949 CJ-3A Willys. It does have split windshield which I believe is from a 2A Williys. It has been under work for the last 4 years and is mostly finished. I have too many other projects and so I am going to sell it so someone else who can enjoy it more than I will be able to. The jeep has been taken down to the frame. It has a brand new rebuilt V6 engine. I have gone through the transmission but it does pop out of 2nd on occasion.
