Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s rough, but has a rear PTO and lift. It doesn’t run.
“I have for sale a 1948 wills overland jeep cj-2a. It is mostly orginal and has rare optional pto and hyd lift. The hyd pump, lines, hyd tank, and selector valves are intact. However the lift it’s self is missing. The pto box is still on the back and the pto adapter is still on the trans. But the drive shaft has been removed to make room for the exhaust pipe. The engine is stuck from sitting. The body is rusty. There is no title. Iam selling as is with no warrenty”

“Jeep has only a few rust spot’s. easy fix. motor rolls over so it will run. needs fuel pump, electric wire harness. it is titled as a 42′ with a 48′ body and motor. have original 42 motor, that is froze but rebuildable. have soft top and doors for it, all under hood parts. aka, air filter oil filter radiator, ill get a pic uploaded tomorrow. $1500. firm.”

“CJ-2A in excellent running condition. Garage kept.
Original 4 Cyc L-134 engine. Refreshed with seals and gaskets in 2012. No leaks with push button start.
New Body on original frame which has been restored, cleaned and painted.
New 31″ MTR Tires on black steel wheels. New brakes and steering. around 150 miles on tires.
New lowback seats.
New gas tank, seating and full seat belts secured to roll cage. The roll cage is bolt in and can easily be removed without any cutting or welding.
Brand new full soft top and doors
New Battery in 2012 and always kept on charge.
New Springs, shocks and body mounts

“1948 Willys CJ2A Frame and cab are separated at the moment, Chevy 383 stroker, dana 300 transfer case, also have a NP 465 4 speed with an adapter to go to t 18 transfer case which is also there. It still has the stock axles in it right now, but there is also a dana 44 and ford 9″ to go with it. $2000 obo”
