Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Have moved and must sell a 1947 Willys Jeep I left behind in the Soo. I have owned the vehicle since the early 70s. It has been not been driven for about 15 years. Engine turns over but I did not get enough time to get it started before I moved. There is also a problem with the clutch.
In the late 70s I did major work on the vehicle. It was pre-Internet and most of the replacement parts came from the Sears Jeep Catalog. The frame is in excellent shape. The front grill, hood and fenders are original. The tub is a fiberglass replacement with the dashboard from the original tub inserted. The windshield is from a later model Jeep.”

“1947 Willys, Runs awesome, is awesome!. 4WD Hi/Low with manual locking hubs. Engine upgrades ( intake, carburetor), Fairly new shocks, brakes, new tires/wheels. Just gone through by my mechanic (fresh oil change, greased and ready to go) . New alternator, new battery. Torquey little sucker and a blast to drive. Would make a great hunting rig and just in time for hunting season. Very cool. Please call, don’t text, don’t email. thank you”

“I am selling my classic 1948 Willy’s Jeep. This is a fun little car, but I should sell it to make ends meet for my last year of school. Here is a little info on the Jeep:
-It has a 1971 Ford 302 engine from a mustang in it (V8)
-Has a working transfer case to go between 4×2 and 4×4
-Has a clean Colorado Title (Vintage car registration so you don’t have to pass emissions)
-It presently does not run, it seems to be an electrical drain. Might need a jump start, cables got stolen though.
