About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Fore Sale: 1953 CJ3A Willys Jeep
4 cylinder 132 engine. New gas tank, lines and fuel pump. Runs out good. Brakes work. Also have 3 other Willys Jeeps CJ2A’s not running that I’m selling with it. 4 total Jeeps. Do Not want to separate. No Spam. No Checks. Cash Only.”
“Up for sale is my 1951 CJ3A with the coveted Warn overdrive. The United States Navy originally took delivery of this Willys in December of 1951. All information is listed on a brass dash plaque right next to the standard information plaque. It has the original 134 “Go Devil” L-head motor with good oil pressure, T-90 trans with Warn Overdrive, Dana 18 transfer case, Dana 25 front axle, Dana 44 rear and 15″ steel wheels. This vehicle starts, runs, drives and stops. The carb, locking hubs, and wheel cylinders have been replaced. I have had this Willys in storage for 4 years waiting for the time when I could restore it. Time and 4 other Jeeps is proving that may never happen so it needs a new home.
“Hazzard Fabworx of Spokane has reworked the suspension, power steering, changed out all the fluids, battery, serviced the diffs/transmission/transfer case/overdrive, swapped in disc brakes all around (‘94 Geo Tracker) and installed lap seat belts.
It has an “odd fire” V6 motor, Dana 30 front/Dana 44 rear both with 4.27 gears, T90 3-speed transmission, Dana 18 transfer case and a Warn overdrive. I will say the original overdrive was a Warn but the owner before me had it rebuilt by Herm The Overdrive Guy in Washington, so it’s physically a Husky case now. It also has a Warn 4500 lb winch mounted on the front.
The odometer reads 30k and change. The thing still runs and drives great. It doesn’t burn oil and still has the original VIN plate. The story I got when I bought it was that it was a forestry service jeep in Oregon, hence the decals.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $1800. This one has been available since 2009.
(12/16/09) I have a complete rolling chassis, would need an engine and trans with drivelines added. I have a couple transfer cases and an engine and trans I am willing to sell too, a 383 chevy and 4l60e trans”
“Runs and drive smoothly. Shifts and stops as it should.
No major oil leaks. Clean body with no rust. Converted to 12v.
Jeep will be taken to the Iola, WI car show this coming week.”
“1949 Willy’s Jeep. I don’t know a lot about this one other than it runs and drives. It has leaks. It’s 4×4. It’s a manual transmission. It has an altimeter which probably means it was for military purposes when built. Was used on the ranch for fencing purposes. Has a title. No doors. No hard top. What you see is what you get. No trades.”
“Up for sale is a totally restored 1950 Jeep Willys CJ3A. Stand out from the Wrangler crowd with this Willys. You will get more attention with this old girl than you would expect. This is a total off frame restoration. Everything has been gone through, and I mean everything. There is nothing that needs to be done to this beauty. The restoration brought her back to her original glory including new wiring and 6V electrical system. Starts on the first crank and runs like a brand new sewing machine. They don’t make them like this anymore.
The pictures tell the story! Perfect for cruising around town, to the beach, dinner, shopping, or anywhere where you are seeking fun getting there. I have $16,000+ invested in this restoration and over 1000 hours in labor that isn’t included in that number. It’s really hard to find these in this good of condition. I have a new Jeep project I’m working on and need the space. I hate to see this one go! Clean Florida title in hand.”
