About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have a 51 Willy’s jeep for sale or trade it’s in great condition been shedded it’s whole life has some rust on bottom nothing major has all the original doors and tailgate and motor, it doesn’t currently run but motor turns over asking $2700”
“1949 Willys Jeep CJ 2A. Original engine and drivetrain. Needs a water pump, but it was running previous to needing one. Estimated 45,000 miles as the odometer is unreadable. Clean title. 4 wheel drive..”
(08/16/2017) Engine needs some work. Appears to have a Koenig top.
“This jeep has a full Koenig cab. The engine needs an overhaul including valve and ring jobs. The clutch has less than 50 miles on it.
The total miles on the Jeep is about 44,000.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500. The price includes a Bantam trailer.
(08/20/2017) Passenger seat isn’t installed. Appears worth a look.
“Currently does not run. I think it’s a carb problem. The engine is getting fuel spark and air so I assume it’s a mixture problem. Other then that when it does run, it’s good. Purrs like a kitten. 4×4 works. I’ve never had it off road. Well if you call being on some grass off road, then it has been. The tub looks good. It’s not really that great. It’s been patched… poorly. I got it to drive around and maybe fix later. I can’t afford to do that so it’s for sale.”
“Purchased last year to be restored but just don’t have the time. New starter installed. Original color was green but has been painted blue. Does have aftermarket power steering. Tires fairly good shape. Has tow bar installed. Has original doors but needs to be refurnished. Does turn over but fuel system and ignition needs to be redone.”
“This is A great starter project for someone wanting to build a wheeler. It has been cut on and frame and body has been stretched. Has Dana 44 front and rear full boxed frame with custom shock hoops, has a full roll cage. Set up for amc v8 and th400 Dana 20 combo but easily changeable. This is just a roller no motor or trans has a clean title in hand.”
“Project CJ3A for sale. Purchased 3 years ago and have restored it a long way from what it was. Still not road ready, but runs very well and brake system completely redone.
Wheels & tires purchased new in 2015 and have <100 total miles on them. Only have ever driven this Jeep up and down my private road.
Engine is not original to this 3A. It is from a 40’s MB. Continue reading →
“Very clean Willy’s Jeep with rattle can olive drab paint job. Runs very good and everything works. Has a bimini top, gas can, rear seat, seat belts, and power steering! Previous owner installed power steering and upgraded the motor to a ’53. Diamond plating in the back seat area and a winch. Odometer says 6830, but surely that isn’t accurate.”
