UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,500
A reader shared this nice looking 3A. It’s got a few updates.
“I redid this Jeep a few years ago and have decided it’s time to sell.
New steel body kit.
Rebuilt Dauntless 225 V6
New Best top
Rebuilt drive train
Everything else new or redone”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1250.
“1946 Willy’s Jeep with Subaru motor and chassis. A great project car that also runs.
We have more spare parts and extra tires and wheels too – all included.
Currently has a dead battery from sitting over the winter. We have used this on our property as a “mule” cart.
It is not titled, but I just called DMV and there is a simple process to take care of that to make it street legal.”
This could be a good price. Includes an overdrive and PTO.

“I am on the fence about posting my favorite vehicle ever…….but its time for me to move on to other things. She’s still running a 6-volt generator system, she has the original style flat head 4 cylinder, T-90 transmission, Dana 18 transfer case with an overdrive, and I also have a pto to go with her just the gear box that attaches to the transfer case and a original style top bows and door frames. Just need to have the original canvas top made.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1850.
Runs.
“1951 Jeep Willys
Project Time! Yep, rusty. She is a 1951 Jeep Willys with a good running motor. I do not have the time or the money to do it right, so I want to send it off to a new home where she will get the love she needs.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
I’m wondering if this was a DJ-3A body. The “side stripes” are right at the location where the large opening bodies had their slant. Factory T-86? Lacks an engine.
“Solid rust free body and frame. No engine, but it does have the original factory T-86 3-speed transmission and transfer case. This was running a small block Chevy until it was removed earlier this year for another project. Included with the sale is a set of sbc headers and the motor mount plate so that a sbc could be dropped in and bolted right up. This Jeep was a runner up until this year, so it won’t take much other than a motor to have this up and driving. I have the title in hand and it’s clean, clear and in my name.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4250.
(08/25/2017) Has some updates.
“1949 Willys Overland CJ3-A
Free and clear title- newly assigned state vin number, original vin tag was gone.
3 Stick Trannie/transfer – T-90 / Dana 18 as far as I can tell.
Early 90’s 305 SBC from a Camaro, according to the casting numbers, I was told, besides the cheap walmart battery, which is mounted in the rear, the engine starts and purrs great. I rewired the majority of the Jeep with Weatherpack connectors. Part of the reason I am getting rid of it is because, I am more of a blue oval fan, which would have been much more gentle on the firewall (distributor would have been in the CORRECT spot!) and if I did keep it, I would surely destroy my perfect driving record, well at least for the last decade. This Jeep has a s@#$load of power and should not be taken likely!!!

“Don’t make me turn this into a yard art planter. 1952 Willys Model I believe, but with a slightly later F134 OHV Hurricane engine. Pto transmission.
Drivetrain is complete – interior is your open canvas! No serious rust, very solid. I do have two foldable seats you can also have if you like. Thought I wanted a cool project but then reality caught up. I did get it cleaned up and running – sounded great – but just don’t have the facilities/tools/know how at this time to continue. Wishful thinking! NO TITLE NO TITLE NO TITLE! Call/text or come have a look but please don’t waste my time. There will be no email/internet nonsense, cash in person only.”
