About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“his is a 1951 Jeep CJ3A. This was my father’s jeep that he partially restored. The jeep yard drives.
Engine runs well but smokes when warm. Possibly the oil control rings are stuck. My dad took the engine out and had it rebuilt but never fully reinstalled. The Jeep sat in the barn for about 10 years without running. Pictures of the engine bay were taken before I put back together with all new ignition components.
Electrics have been converted to a 12 volt system. (started is still 6v)
Fuel tank is currently of of the vehicle, I didn’t want to put gas in the tank and have it sit. Tank looks clean. Continue reading →
“Asking $3500.00 OBO without the winch. Engine/transmission/transfer case rebuilt 20 years ago. Front end rebuilt 25years ago. Only put about 1500 miles on it since rebuilds”
Given the windshield and the rear bumper, I have to wonder if this wasn’t originally a Fresno area designed jeep. The interior dash has some custom aspects.
“This vintage 1949 Willys CJ 3 Jeep is a true gem with only 60,112 miles (Chassis) on the odometer. It’s been lovingly modified with a powerful Chevy 350 engine. If you’re looking for a classic with modern performance, this Willys CJ 3 is the perfect choice. Whether you’re an off-road enthusiast or simply want a unique and eye-catching ride, this Jeep has it all.

“1950 CJ2A Willys Jeep project/parts 99% complete, missing windshield frame Paint is bad, body is pretty good with minimal rust in the body/tub F head motor, not sure of its condition Does not run, will need to be trailered AS-IS, NO TITLE, BILL OF SALE ONLY $850 OBO CASH”
Toms shared this nicely restored CJ-3A. My only two very minor quibbles (given the price) is that it is missing the gutter where the hood meets the body, it’s got an incorrect oil bracket for a 3A (again, minor complaints).

Tom shared this nice looking rebuild. A few details need finishing.
“New parts • Voltage regulator, wiring harness for dash, full body harness, instrument gauges, head lights, tail lights, wiper, tail gait, chains, hood blocks, seat foam, seat covers, E-brake cable, throttle & choke cable, whole distributor, cap & rotor, spark plugs, wires and welting.
Body• Replaced body sides front to back, floors in front and back, wing steps on fenders, tail gait. NOT A BONDO JOB! New hardware in so places, used but completed restored old hardware in others. Like footman loops and bolts.
Inspected and conditioned parts•
Transmission
Transfer case
Front and rear diff
All gear oil completely drained and new gear oil replaced
Radiator cleaned, painted and pressure tested
It runs good, does not smoke. Four wheel drive and transmission are great!
I need to finish wiring the signals, get horn work and adjust brakes. Those things I can do easily. But it’s a real nice Jeep and hard to find one in this great of condition!!! Lots of video and pics if you want them.”
