About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Full rolling chassis with top and seats. Rear Dana 44 with power lock. New lift springs and shackles. Saginaw steering conversion. Body rough but ready for engine transplant and loads of fun. Clear title. Washougal classic jeep”
Seller notes this is restored, but clearly it’s more in the category of refurbished. The photos of this jeep demonstrate the difficulty of evaluating jeeps based on pics. In pic #2, zooming in o nthe metal covering makes the driver’s side look like it has some indentations near the gas inlet. Yet, pic #1 clearly shows that area is flat. Now, whether the area under the plates are covering rust can’t be seen without an inspection visit.
“Vintage 1951 Willys Jeep. Fully restored. Completely rebuilt engine using Willys parts July 2016”
“Willy’s Jeep owned only by two people. Family bought in 1956. Has no rust thrus. Is in good condition. only add on’s bed extender and foot steps to get in.. Starts right up. Soft top included, in ok shape. Hasn’t been put on jeep in years.”
Looks to be a DJ-3A body on a CJ 4WD chassis. While a true DJ-3A installed on a 4WD chassis from the factory has yet to be found in the US, the DJ-3A group did learn about a DJ-3A with 4WD that was sent overseas. So, we are wondering if one or more were sold in the US as well.
“Frame off restoration, motor rebuilt, new axle seals and bearings, all new brakes, will lock up all 4 wheels. Body in really good shape, very usable, solid floor.
Runs and drives great, still needs lights wired, gages, a roll bar, maybe a windshield. All the hard work is done, ready for finishing touches.
$2500 or best offer, more than that invested.”

This has been completely disassembled. Pic shows jeep prior to disassembly.
“Clean Texas title, 1949 Willys Jeep restoration project. This Jeep is completely taken apart for a frame off restoration. I simply do not have the time to put into it at the moment. When I purchased it in the summer of 2015, it drove. Needs new clutch or transmission, but the engine is solid. All serious offers will be considered.”

“I have a 1952 CJ-3A Willys Jeep for sale or trade. From what I know about it has pretty much all the original parts. I dont believe the motor is seized up. There is quite a bit of body rust and several spots have rusted through. You will just have to come check it out because I dont know what all it will need to get it going. ”
